Hawk didn’t answer.

Bliss prodded him again. “Hawk?”

I glanced over at him. His gaze was pinned on my sister who had emerged from the bathroom with the others. She had her hair down, covering the stitches Hawk had put in her head. Her hair was long and dark and glossy. We’d gone shopping that morning, and I’d made her buy the little black dress that hugged her curvy figure to perfection. It plunged in the front, showing off a healthy amount of cleavage.

But it was not for Hawk’s eyes.

Ew.

I stepped in front of her and scowled at him.

That snapped him out of his stupor, and he smirked, turning back to Bliss and War. “Yeah, yeah. I’ll make sure he doesn’t die. Go relive Rebel’s emo youth.”

I gave him the middle finger as everyone else found beers for the trip, except for Nash and Fang and Vaughn, who were all driving.

I had no such qualms. I grabbed a beer and Bliss’s hand and tugged her out of the clubhouse toward the waiting cars.

She eyed my drink longingly. “I miss beer.”

I squinted at her. “You don’t even like beer.”

She sighed. “I know! It’s so weird. Ever since I got pregnant, it’s all I’ve felt like drinking. Of course, I haven’t. But just crack it open and let me smell it.”

I giggled, waving the open can beneath her nose.

She inhaled deeply, then opened one eye. “Don’t laugh. This will be you one day.”

I shook my head. “You just reminded me I can’t have beer while pregnant. So that’s now put any pregnancy ideas firmly back in the ‘no’ category.”

She narrowed her eyes at me. “Backin the ‘no’ category? Does that mean it was ever out of the ‘no’ category?”

I sipped my drink and leaned on the car, waiting for the others to follow us outside. “No. Not really. Shit. I don’t know. Fang is baby obsessed since Hayley Jade and Kara came to stay with us. You know he just holds her for hours and hours while she sleeps? He changes diapers and everything.”

“I noticed. His position is clear. But what’s yours?”

“I really love Hayley Jade.”

“That’s not the same as wanting one of your own.”

I nodded. “I know. I don’t even know how that would work with Kian and Vaughn in the picture as well. It’s a nice thought for one day.”

Bliss looked a tad disappointed. “I get it. As much as I would love for Mini-Disney to have a tiny Rebel playmate, it’s smart to be safe until you’re all ready. I give you guys credit for not getting carried away.” She rubbed her belly fondly. “Since that’s how we got into this situation.”

It was said with so much love I knew that situation was the best thing to have ever happened to Bliss.

I bit my lip. “Yep. Careful. That’s totally us. Soooooo careful…”

Bliss glanced at me with one eyebrow raised. “Seriously?”

I huffed out a sigh. “Well, you try thinking about contraception when you’ve got three men all hell-bent on giving you multiple orgasms! It’s hard, Dis!”

We both burst into laughter, and she slung her arm around my shoulders, taking the beer can with her other hand.

“Yeah, okay. No more drinking for you.”

“I’m not pregnant.”

“Not yet. Get on some birth control, and I’ll give this back.”
