That is until I let him take out his frustration from the loss on my pussy. A shiver runs through my body at the reminder of how many times he made me come with his hands, mouth, and dick.

“Should make him lose more often,” I mutter.

Before I can return to cooking, there’s a knock at the door. I’m expecting it to be another package. Probably another VR game that Kyle bought for Eve. I’m going to have to remind him that he can’t buy her anything and everything he hears her mention.

It’s not a delivery, however.

“Wallace,” I say as I open the door to see my older brother.

“Junior,” he says with a smile on his face. The expression on his face makes my stomach drop. It’s like he just won the lottery. “Aren’t you going to give me a hug?” He opens his arms out wide.

I awkwardly move into his arms, giving him a light squeeze before pulling back.

“Can I come in?” He doesn’t wait for me to answer as he pushes through the door.

He whistles as he looks around at my open concept condo. “This is nice, sis. Not bad. It sure as hell beats that homeless shelter.”

I shake my head in disbelief before closing the door. “What are you doing here?”

“I was in town,” he tosses over his shoulder before heading to the kitchen. “Spaghetti?”

“Yes.”

“Good. I’m hungry. I had a long flight to get here.”

“I thought you said you were in town.”

He pauses from rooting around in the cupboards above the counter to look at me over his shoulder. “Did I? Oh, I meant I was coming here anyway. I thought I should make my first stop to visit my sister.”

“And your daughter?”

“Her too. Hey, do you mind if I get some of this?” He holds the plate out toward the pot with the simmering tomato sauce.

“It’s not ready yet.” I fold my arms across my chest. I don’t like that he’s here out of the blue. Wallace Jr. has only visited me and Eve one other time. That visit was because he was hiding out from some guys he stole money from.

“Fine, I’ll wait.” He places the plate down on the kitchen island like I’m the one who’s inconvenienced him. He palms the island and stares at me. That glint in his eyes is never a good thing.

“I heard you got married.”

Instinctively, I start twisting the wedding rings on my ring finger. I haven’t taken them off for anything other than to sleep or shower since the day Kyle put them on my finger in the car.

Unfortunately, Wallace notices the move and his eyes drop to my hand. His eyebrows raise and he makes his way over to me, snatching my hand up for his inspection.

“Holy shit,” he blurts out. “She was right. Look at the size of that rock.”

I snatch my hand away. “Who was right?”

“Eve. She told me you married some guy named Kyle Townsend. I thought she was lying. You know how kids are. Anyway, I looked up the name and thought, nah, my sis couldn’t have married intothatTownsend family in Williamsport. So, I decided to come and check it out for myself.”

His eyes search out my hand again, even though I’ve placed it behind my back.

“From the size of that diamond, I know it must be true. That’s not a fucking cubic zirconia on your finger.” He steps closer and folds his arms, leaning down slightly from his six-foot-one height. “I want in,” he says.

“In on what?” I brush past him, needing to get from underneath his sneaky look. I can feel where he’s leading and I want no part of it.

“Don’t play with me like that, sis. You know what I mean. What game are you running on Kyle Townsend? I want to know about it and I want in.”

I shake my head. Of course this is what Wallace came to Williamsport from wherever he was for this. Shiftless bastard.
