Damian circled around me like a shark, completely in his element. This was his home base, and he was taking me in, like a predator sizing up its prey. “You stalking me, love?” He said, with an amused look in his eyes, as he slowly came to a stop close behind me, forcing me to turn around.

“No, of course not. I didn’t realize you worked here.” I stumbled back, finding myself up against the front of his desk as he towered over me, slowly closing the space between us.

He cocked his head and asked me sarcastically, “So you applied to be the assistant for Mr. West of West Industries, with no realization of who you’d be working for? I find that hard to believe, Ms. Easton.”

I gripped the edge of the desk, as my body thrummed with desire, remembering how good it felt to be under the spell of Damian’s touch. It was like nothing had changed, and yet everything had changed.

He’s your boss now. This changes everything.

You need this job. You need this job. You need this job.

“I applied to a lot of places.” I whispered, not sure if I was surprised as he reached out, his fingers lightly grazing down my arm, lighting a trail of fire behind them. His fingers came to a stop at my wrist. He lifted my hand up.

“You’re wearing your gift.” His thumb grazed over the diamond bracelet, spilling over to the sensitive skin on the inside of my wrist. He looked pleased.

He smirked as I nodded. I was unable to form words, so I bit the inside of my cheek to suppress the moan that was desperate to escape my mouth at the mere touch of his hand.

“Why are you applying for jobs? I thought you ran a business.” He said, with his hands planted on the desk, on either side of me. His mouth was grazing my ear, and the heat of his breath sent a pool of warmth into my panties.

“I was put out of business.” I breathed as his earthy smell wrapped its tendrils around me, tempting me, sealing my fate.

“I’m sorry to hear that.” He nudged my legs open with his knee, and slid it up against my throbbing center, giving me friction. “I guess your loss is my benefit.”

“I guess fate brought us back together again.” I breathed.

“I suppose so.” His mouth made contact with my neck, and I let my head drop back and the moan finally slipped out, as he kissed a trail down my collar bone.

“I took this job because I needed it, Damian.” I barely managed to utter out. “Ireallyneed this job. I don’t think we should– I don’t want to get fired on my first day.”

“Good thing you work for me then, isn’t it?” He slowly pushed me back on the desk, pushing things to either side, knocking things off the desk as he pulled up my blouse and kissed down my stomach to the waistline of my skirt. “The best way to impress the boss is to do what you’re told. You can do what you’re told, can’t you?”

I gasped in response, as his hands pressed me into the desk. It seemed we were right back to the relationship we’d established in Hawaii, only this time seeing his cold, calculated demeanor moments ago, it felt all the more thrilling when he still desired me.

“And as your boss, if you don't behave, I might have to punish you.”

A thrill ran through me, making my heart race even faster. “Oh Damian.” I moaned as he cupped one breast and scooped it out of my bralette, sucking on it. I squeezed my eyes shut and began to melt as he worked his way up my legs with his mouth bunching my skirt up around my waist. His hot, delicious mouth worked over my damp underwear.

“I see you missed me, love.” He growled between my legs.

I bucked up, gasping as he tongued me over my panties before finally pulling them down over my legs. His tongue found its way right back to my sweet spot, and I bit my lip in an effort to keep quiet as he teased me. God forbid anyone hear what was going on in here.

I struggled to keep quiet as he pushed me closer and closer to the brink.

“Don’t make a sound, love. Or I’ll have to stop, and then we’ll have to start over.” He knew the power he had over me, and I found myself convulsing and shuddering under his touch. A soft whimper managed to escape my lips. Suddenly, his large hand was over my mouth, muffling the sounds that I could no longer hold inside me. He seemed to relish in the way I was spiraling out of control.

I found myself knocking things off the desk, crying out into his warm hand clamped over my mouth. My hands were sliding around, looking for anything to grab onto as he pushed me closer and closer. As my hand slipped across the desk over some papers, something caught my eye. A name. Horizon View buildings. I caught my breath. Why would he have Horizon View contracts on his desk?

I gasped for breath as Damian slid two fingers into me, pushing me to the brink, unable to think clearly. The confusion and pleasure swirling around in my brain.

“Damian?” I called out, not sure if it was a pleasure chant or an accusation.

I softly cried out into his hand over my mouth, shuddering around his fingers, as I squeezed my eyes shut and willed myself to come back to reality. I exploded, just as I had a dozen times before, with his perfect curved fingers encouraging me to unravel. I laid there gasping, as his hand finally loosened from my mouth. Willing the black spots in my vision to disappear so I could think.

I grabbed the papers off his desk in a crumple and sat up in a breathless, sweaty mess as he stood up in front of me.

“Ready to get to work, I see.” Damian chuckled, his mouth back on my neck.

My eyes scanned the papers and then back up to Damian, as our fate balanced in limbo in front of us.
