God help me.

CHAPTERTHREE

SPARK

I storm into the clubhouse, searching for Glitch. I’m pissed on two accounts. One, I got blood on my suit after the assholes that bought my inventory decided to try and make money off me. In the end, they paid me to leave them alive, and I got all my cars back.

Two, she’s married.

“Married?” I slam the door closed behind me when I find her sitting in her room, which is just a server room with a cot in the corner.

“Did I stutter earlier?” Glitch doesn’t even spare me a glance.

Mercy is mine. No other man gets a claim on her.

“Where is he.” I huff.

“No, you can’t kill him.” She sighs, finally turning to look at me.

I raise an eyebrow at her. As if I can’t handle one fucking man.

“Why not?” I cross my arms, waiting to hear her explanation.

“For starters, I think he’s already dead.” Now I’m confused.

“What?” I sit down, suddenly exhausted.

“Joaquin DeJesus was sent to prison for grand theft auto four years ago. However, as far as I can tell, the man in his cell is not him.” She turns and brings up side-by-side images.

“Glitch,” I mumble so she’ll get on with it.

“I think Joaquin is dead and has been replaced to keep Mercy compliant.

I drag my hand over my face feeling more tired than I have in years.

“So she doesn’t know?” Glitch shakes her head.

“Fantastic, I’ll go tell the lass she’s widowed.” I turn to open her door.

“Relax, Spark. I’ll get the plane ready for you.” What?

“Oh, sorry. She escaped about three hours ago.” Glitch smiles as she hits her keyboard, and a video starts playing on the screen.

I watch as Mercy breaks my bed, trashes, my house, and steals my Harley.

“You watched all that and didn’t say anything?” I growl at her.

“You were busy.” She points at the blood on me, and I lose it.

“FUCKING BULLSHIT!” I storm out to her laughter.

“Spark?” I run into Wolf, who grabs my shoulder to stop me from fucking the whole clubhouse up.

“She’s gone. Again.” He nods.

“OK?” I swallow hard at his questioning look.

“You want her back.” He lets me go slowly, and I nod.
