“Where is my fucking woman?” he roars.

“What?” Legacy asks.

“She’s nowhere, and when I checked the location on her phone, it’s at home, but she ain’t fuckin’ there.”

Without saying another word, I watch as Roadkill and Legacy reach for their phones and touch the screens before putting them up to their ears, then their eyes widen. “What the fuck?” Legacy whispers as he continues to touch his screen. “She should be at home.”

“So should Kiplyn.”

“He has them all, doesn’t he?” I ask on a whisper.

“Who?” Itch barks.

It’s Hellcat who takes a step forward. He’s been in the background this entire time, no doubt licking his wounds from Douglas getting one over on him. Although, I’m not so sure he should feel any kind of way. I think Douglas is bigger, more powerful, and more sophisticated than we could have imagined.

“Douglas,” I murmur. “Reese’s ex, but I don’t think he’s just some fuck who’s been obsessed with her. What exactly did Charley say about him?”

Legacy’s face is white as a ghost. He shakes his head, then nods, then he shifts his attention back up to meet mine. “Get prospects to all the houses. The babies.”

My stomach dips. Granted, I’m worried as fuck about my own baby Reese is carrying, but it’s not like it’s born yet. If Douglas did something to those fucking babies… God, I should have been more vigilant.

Four men weren’t enough.

She should have been locked down inside the clubhouse.

I should have been with her. I shouldn’t have let her out of my fucking sight. Goddamn fucking Logan. This is his doing. I know it is. He’s part of all this shit, and if I find out he had anything to do with any of this, I’m going to take my fucking time when I kill him. I’ve already decided he’s going to die because this is all too goddamn much.

Legacy brings the phone to his ear, and I hear him growl as he speaks. “What the fuck would Douglas be doing with my woman, with all the women?”

Itch looks like he’s going to puke. Roadkill has a vein that’s popped out in his forehead, and I’m wondering if it’s going to explode. It’s pulsing as he stares straight ahead at the wall. Legacy tosses the phone down on his desk, then leans over, placing his hands on it as he flicks his attention between us.

“We go forward with the shit tomorrow. Douglas is supposed to be there. I don’t know how the fuck Charley knew this shit or figured it out. He said he had someone digging around on Douglas and found out he’s a purchaser. He’s the big cat. He’s the one.”

“And what happens when the feds don’t fucking show? Because if it’s been Douglas all these years, Logan knew exactly who that motherfucker was this whole-ass time,” I say.

“They die,” Legacy barks.

“And the women?” I ask.

“We figure out how to get them home,” Hellcat mutters. “Not their fucking fault, and I’m sure they wouldn’t say shit.”

Nodding, I look around at the men in this room. Fathers and husbands, men who wanted to go legit and live a good clean life, yet here we fucking are. I feel like it’s partially my fault because I’m the one who introduced them to Logan, but then I remember the fucking Dead Phoenix and Diaz.

“Diaz is dead,” Legacy announces. “Duke and Bond are already on their way. We need a better plan than just showing up now that our original one is out the window. We gotta save all these fucking women, including our own. And I don’t give a fuck about Logan or the feds anymore. They’re all dead.”

REESE

I stand in the middle of a warehouse. There are women in cages surrounding me. Women… more like girls. I don’t find anyone over the age of probably twenty-five. They’re all naked, and when I search the room for who or what I don’t know, I notice someone I do recognize.

“Thunder,” I whisper.

Henli whimpers beside me, and I reach out, taking her hand in mine before giving her a squeeze. “It’s going to be okay.” I’m probably lying, but I’ll fight to the death for this to be okay for them.

Every nightmare I ever had has completely come true. My friends have been kidnapped by Douglas. The men have been hurt. Now all I need is for something to happen to Agony.

I shake that thought away. I don’t think I’d be able to survive knowing something happened to him. I tell myself he’s going to be just fine and whatever happens, he and all the women are going to be completely unscathed.

Completely unscathed.
