Through our new bond, I felt the way his attention turned entirely toward me with both awe and desire. He was mine, and I was his.

“We really did it,” I whispered.

“Yes, we did, little one.”

They all touched me somewhere on my body, the combination of all of them combining in me in a pleasant hum. “Okay. I want to stay in here, but I also want to dance with you. So send the girls up.”

Because we had all the time in the world now.

“I want to dance with you too,” Ash whispered.

“You get to dance with me every day.”

He smirked, letting me get away with it before he dressed. I loved watching them put on suits. Granted, I loved watching them take them off too.

Now fully dressed, Roman came and knelt in front of me where I sat on the edge of the bed. I’d pulled a sheet from the rumpled bed around my chest, but hadn’t done anything to dress yet.

Roman picked up one foot, and I cringed. I took care of my feet, but they were still ballerina feet. They were a little fucked even if I managed to have enough toenails left to paint.

But he didn’t flinch or even notice, lifting my leg to brush a kiss over my ankle and higher up my skin. “What are you doing?” I breathed.

From him, I felt the stunning depth of his emotions, and it took me a second to place the feeling there. It felt like…

Like I was a goddess and he was on his knees for me. I wasn’t sure I liked the idea of him on his knees, but Ilovedthe way he looked at me. When he reached my thigh, he stood, leaning in to kiss my cheek. “Save me a dance.”

“Okay,” I squeaked out.

They left, not before shooting me looks that could burn down this entire estate. I was meant to get up and start getting put back together, but I couldn’t. All I did was sit with the sheet wrapped around me, listening to the bonds in my chest. Their happiness and joy that mirrored my own.

I did it.

A knock came on the door. “Come in.”

Petra came in first and froze, Esme stopping up short behind her.

“What are you guys waiting—” Eva stepped into the room, gaze traveling from my head and my fucked up hair, down to my bare feet. She looked at the others and smothered a laugh before looking back at me. “We have so much work to do.”

CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

________

GABRIEL

The party was in full swing when we stepped out of the mansion again, and Addison’s design shone in full glory. It looked like someone had created a false starry sky, spangled with flowers and gems that threw rainbows across the space. It was perfect for Sloane.

I felt her laughter in my chest. She was with her friends, getting ready now that we’d released ourselves on her like wild animals. I quite liked the way she looked rumpled and disheveled, because I liked everyone else knowing she was mine. But my little one was also more private, so I wanted her to look perfect.

Across the room, Jace waved to his family on the tablet we’d streamed the ceremony on. We needed to get them down here for a visit soon. I’d told my brother about the ceremony and gotten congratulations in return, but I didn’t expect to see him.

We were Asher’s family now, and Roman?

It had taken him more than a year to tell us the truth about his family. Abuse, but not in the overt and violent method Ash had been exposed to. His was neglect. Because of his difficulties speaking and reading, and the resulting anxiety and silence, his parents thought he had a mental impairment instead of a disability. They took care of him, but in a sparce and barely there way.

He didn’t speak to them anymore, either.

“Gabriel.”

I turned to find Petra’s Alphas approaching me, Harrison at the front. He held out a hand, and I shook it. “Thank you for coming.”
