Gabriel was trying to get the door open when he felt Lily’s breath creep up his neck. “Since we have two beds, we can just push ours together.” Her lips caressed the back of his neck where her voice had lingered.

“Why don’t you relax and take a nice, long, hot shower?” Gabriel strolled up to her and kissed her forehead.
“Mmm. That sounds nice. Especially after going through the cave.”
“Yeah, that dampness can stick with you. So, just relax and wash it off.” He rubbed her arms and pulled her close. He just wasn’t able to resist touching her if he was close.
She nuzzled into his chest, making Gabriel feel like he could die right then a happy man.
“Do you want to join me?” she asked innocently.
Having her body snuggled against him made his refusal one of the harder things he ever had to do. Lily’s power over him was stronger than he had realized, but the urge to see her pleasantly surprised surpassed it just enough for him to stand his ground. “I would. But I’m going to get some other things done.”
She pretended to pout by sticking out her lower lip. He smiled, cupped her chin, and tilted it up to gently kiss her.
“I want to. But you enjoy the hot water and get warmed up. I’ll be right here when you get out.”
“Promise?”
“Always.” He smiled and kissed her again.
Lily slid her tongue into his parted mouth. She was trying to sway him to accompany her, and Gabriel wasn’t sure how much longer he could resist her.
Finally, she let out a heavy, exasperated sigh and sauntered into the bathroom. “Have it your way then.” She gave him a look of disappointment, but before she shut the door, Gabriel could see a sly smirk come across her face in the mirror.
That little vixen. Of course, I have a grand gesture to make, and that’s when she wants to lure me into bed.
Gabriel heard the shower kick on. He only had so much time. He had to get on it.
He remembered seeing a twenty-four-hour diner across the street. That would be dinner. He walked to the window and pulled back the curtain.
Yep. A gas station, too. That would probably have the other things they needed.
He glanced at his watch. He needed to do it all in under twenty minutes just in case Lily finished quickly.
Gabriel grabbed the room key and headed for the door. The smell of Lily’s lavender shampoo wafted through the air and called him back.
Before he realized what he was doing, he was almost to the bathroom. “No.” He stopped himself. He tried to reverse his erection and convince himself that the blue balls were going to be worth it. That didn’t make much sense, but he knew what lay in store for him. That thought only made his cock rise even more.
He took a deep breath and adjusted his crotch. He checked the time again and, this time, made it through the door before temptation took over again. Gabriel wasn’t sure he’d be able to resist any longer if he hadn’t.
