Who could he be talking about?

“I don't have a boyfriend,” she softly said.

Moving her jaw hurt. She remembered getting hit before she passed out, but she couldn't remember where. From the way it seemed, it was her jaw or temple. Those two things hurt the most right now.

She was pretty sure if she really thought about what was hurting, there would be more things. No doubt her wrists and ankles were probably raw from the ropes tied around them. Storm had no clue if they had done things while she was knocked out. She had no clue how long she’d been knocked out.

It could have been hours, days, or just minutes. That was one thing that scared her. Were people already looking for her? Since she had no clue how long she’d been out, she had no idea if Hedda had started looking for her or not.

Had Miles listened to her voicemail? There were so many questions going around in her mind and she didn't know how to answer them or if they were ever going to get answered.

Richard laughed in front of her.

“I know you have a boyfriend so don't try to hide it. Just because he hasn't been around your apartment or you doesn't mean he isn't your boyfriend,” he said.

Storm was so confused at this point. The only person she’d had at her apartment was Miles and he wasn't her boyfriend. Everything inside of her wished he was but he wanted nothing to do with her.

She had no clue if this man was talking about Miles or not, but she knew he wasn't her boyfriend.

“I promise, I don't have a boyfriend,” she said, tears forming in her eyes.

His face went hard as he took a step closer, raising his hand. Before she knew it, pain spread across her cheek.

“Shut up, bitch,” he said, raising his voice. “I’ve done research on you! I’ve seen him leave your apartment! Don’t you dare lie to me.”

She kept her mouth shut, not wanting to get hit again. Her cheek ached as time went on. She should have kept her mouth shut but she thought he would want to know she didn't have a boyfriend.

Now she knew it was a mistake. The only thing she managed to do was anger him more than he already was.

“I know your parents live in Georgia and you have a weak immune system. You've had it your whole life and have never been able to figure out what exactly is wrong,” he said.

Her eyes went wide as he talked. How did he know that? Sure, the information about her parents living in Georgia might be on the internet but her weak immune system wasn't.

It was a little unsettling knowing he had found out that information about her. How did he find it? Who was this guy? Why did he want to know all this information?

“We’re going to have some fun. Well, I'm going to have some fun and you're going to suffer while one of my men takes a video to show your boyfriend,” he said. “But before we start anything, I want to have a little chat.”

She kept her mouth shut, not knowing what to say or do. She didn’t want to say something and have him hit her again, but she also didn't want to not say something and be hit, either.

Her best bet right now was to stay silent. No use saying something that could only anger him more.

“For a while now, I’ve been thinking about how to get back at your boyfriend. He didn't have anyone that was near and dear to him, well, that would really hit the spot,” Richard said. “At first I thought about kidnapping him and torturing him before I ended up killing him.”

She had no clue what Richard did to have Miles kill his men. She didn't even know if he was talking about Miles, but that was the only logical answer right now. He had been the only guy to walk into her apartment.

“But then you showed up. I didn't know who you were in the beginning, when I saw you interacting with him at his birthday party. Well, I heard you had interacted with him,” he said. “When my men told me about you, I didn't think anything of it. That was until he showed up at your apartment.”

Tears rolled down her face as he continued to talk. He thought Miles was her boyfriend.

“I thought you guys had moved together rather quickly but who am I to judge about that.” Richard moved his hand in the air. “I had a man sit around your apartment waiting to see if you or Miles left. Once he stayed there for over a day, I knew something was going on between you two. So, I had somebody follow you.”

All of this could have been avoided if she hadn’t gone to the birthday party. She could have avoided getting sick, getting her heart broken, getting watched, and ultimately getting kidnapped.

“That's when I devised a plan for you to be kidnapped,” he said. “I'm going to have so much fun with you. I’m going to make sure your boyfriend knows I mean business and he shouldn’t mess with the wrong person. He needs to be taught a lesson and what better way than on the person he cares about the most.”

Nerves ran through her body as he said that with a wicked smile on his face. She had no clue what he had in store for her, but she knew she wasn't going to like it.

He looked dead serious when he talked about teaching her “boyfriend” a lesson. If she wasn’t in this situation and they said Miles was her boyfriend, she would have scoffed and laughed.
