“I’m going to hire the best fucking specialist in the United States and we’re going to figure it out. I don’t care about the money, I just want to figure out if there is anything I can do to help her.”

And that was the truth. Miles wanted her to be able to live, and what she had been doing before wasn't living. She never went out in big groups, and when she did, she suffered. That was no way to live, and he was going to do whatever he could to fix it.

He didn't even know if there was a cure for whatever she had, but he was going to figure it out.

“Let me ask, but I think I know someone that could help give you answers. He owes me a favor,” Rogan said.

“Thanks, I appreciate it,” Miles replied.

Rogan knew a lot of people, so Miles wasn’t surprised when he said that.

“I think I’m close to finding the location,” Kirk said, interrupting them.

Before anyone could respond, Miles' phone went off again. Kirk stayed silent as he read the text before his body went rigid.

Not good.

Miles stood behind Kirk and started to read.

You have an hour to turn yourself in at the docks near the port. If you don’t, Storm will be exposed to a live virus and die. - R

Fury filled Miles’ body as he read the next text that came through.

Better hurry. I don’t think she can take any more punches or kicks. - R

Miles walked off, rage filled, as he played the words over and over in his head. They were going to expose her to a live virus if he didn't come. They were already punching her and kicking her.

Something she didn't deserve.

Storm didn't deserve to have this happen to her and yet here they were. He should have taken better care of her, made sure she was safe when he left.

But he didn't.

He raised his hand and punched the wall several times, trying to get his anger out. Nothing seemed to work as he continued to punch the wall.

“I think I found their location!” Kirk yelled.

CHAPTER TWENTY

STORM

The first thing Storm noticed was how awful she felt. She didn't remember a time when she felt this bad. Growing up being sick had her feeling bad all the time, but this topped it.

Everything ached.

She didn't know how long she’d been out for, but it felt like an eternity. After she had passed out from the cold water and the fan being on her, she had briefly woken up to Richard asking her questions.

Question she didn't have answers to.

He kept asking her where Miles did his business. Why he was working for who he was working for. What his weakness was. And so much more.

But Storm didn't know any of the answers. She didn't know Miles like that. The only thing she knew was he was a Daddy Dom and took care of her.

Even when Richard asked for other details about his life and what he liked to do in his free time, she still didn't answer. She didn't know what he did in his free time. She knew he was a Daddy Dom, but she didn't know if he went to a club or not.

She had told Richard that countless times, but he wouldn't listen. He was hell bent on her knowing what he did in his life that he couldn't hear what she was actually saying.

Anytime she had begged for him to stop or that she was telling the truth, he would punch her or kick her. She had cried so hard when the first hit came but even then, he didn't stop.
