She begged with her eyes to one of the guards to let her go but he just looked away. The guard didn't even look like he was struggling with the fact she was getting hurt for no good reason.

If he even believed what she was saying. Which she didn't think he did.

After so many punches, she couldn't take it anymore and ended up passing out. That was the last time she was awake and now her body ached like nobody's business.

She didn't know sitting down and getting punched or kicked could hurt so bad, but it did. She had gotten hit on the face, the legs, and on her stomach.

Part of her face felt swollen. She had no doubt her right eye was swollen shut because when she tried to open her eyes, it was hard to open her left one and her right didn't even budge.

All she wanted was to be rescued. She didn't want to be here anymore and she prayed Miles had listened to her voice message and was looking for her. Storm hoped that if he didn't open it, Hedda would have contacted somebody.

“Look who's finally awake,” Richard said as he walked through the door.

A whimper escaped her lips and tears formed in her eyes. She knew what was going to happen next.

Questions.

Questions she couldn't answer and was going to get a beating for.

Even if she did know the answers, she didn't know if she would give them up or not. She hoped she wouldn't, but she had never been in this situation before.

“Are you ready to talk now?” he asked. “Are you ready to finally answer the questions I've been asking?”

“I don't know anything!” she sluggishly said. Her voice was hoarse and sickly sounding. “I swear. I don't know anything.”

Her body still felt cold, like she had just gotten splashed with the water again. Even though her clothes had dried, she was still sitting in a little puddle of water. The fan was still pointed at her, blasting cold air.

She couldn't help but shiver as her body continued to grow colder. Storm had no doubt that if they untied her and told her she was free, she wouldn't be able to get up from the chair. She felt so weak and drained. She didn't even know if she would be able to crawl if they asked her.

That's how weak, cold, drained, and awful she felt.

Every once in a while, she tried to wiggle her toes and move her fingers, but it was becoming increasingly harder each time. She had no clue if she was losing circulation to her arms and legs or if it was because she was so cold, she couldn't use them.

She hoped she didn't have any long term damage that would occur from this. She was only thirty-five and still had her life to live. She was so young and nobody should have what was happening to her happen to them.

What she said fell on deaf ears.

He shook his head at her and made a tsk sound. She sobbed as he came closer to her. She knew the drill now. He was going to ask her a question and when she said she didn't know, he or the guard was going to hit her.

“Tell me what Miles and Rogan's weakness is,” Richard said as he took a step closer to her.

“I don't know a Rogan. And I don't know what Miles’ weakness is. I don't know him that well,” she cried.

This wasn't the first time he had brought up Rogan's name. She had no clue who this person was or how he related to Miles. She had tried to rack her brain to figure out who he was but kept coming up blank each time.

She was sick and exhausted, but that didn't stop Richard from asking her even more questions. If anything, she felt like Richard thought she was lying and was pressing harder for information.

She wasn't acting stupid. She genuinely didn't know the answers to the questions he was asking.

“Punch her,” Richard commanded.

She watched as the guard walked over to her and reeled his fist back before the punch landed on the right side of her face. She cried out in pain as it radiated across her face.

There was a feeling in the back of her mind that any more hits she took to the right side was going to break something. The guard had hit her too many times to count on that side. Hard hits. The guard was showing no mercy. It was almost like he was getting out all the pain and aggression he’d held on to his whole entire life.

Each punch got firmer and harsher and with each punch, she cried harder.

Tears streamed down her face as she sniffled. She just wanted this to be over with. She didn't want him to ask any more questions and she didn't want to be here anymore.
