“Hello. How are you doing today?” she asked. “Sorry I wasn’t here when you woke up. I was having a discussion with my brother.”

The tone Hedda used when she talked about her brother wasn’t nice. It was almost like she didn’t want to be there or something.

Storm had no idea the relationship Hedda had with her brother. For all she knew, they could have a strained relationship or they could be best friends. Though, with how they were acting when she first woke up, she didn’t know if they were best friends or not.

But she wouldn’t know anything. Storm didn’t have any siblings, so she didn’t know how that type of relationship worked. She also knew it was different for everyone.

Storm gave Hedda’s hand a squeeze and smiled at her. She was glad she was here. She didn’t know how much longer she was going to be able to take being alone with Miles right now.

“Can I talk to Storm alone?” Hedda asked Miles.

“No,” he replied. “What you say in front of her you can say in front of me.”

Storm wasn’t looking at Miles, but she just knew he was puffing out his chest and probably had his arms crossed. It was so Miles to act like the more dominant one.

Granted, he was the more dominant one.

They were both Littles so it made sense, he just didn’t need to project it onto them. They knew he was the dominant one. He just oozed it.

“We need to talk about feminine stuff,” Hedda said.

Storm looked at Hedda, catching on to what she was trying to do. Most guys, well a lot of guys, didn’t like to talk about periods and all of that.

“You know that stuff doesn’t bother me,” Miles replied. “Did you forget what I do for a living?”

Hedda shook her head. “No, I didn’t. But Storm doesn’t feel comfortable talking about it in front of you.”

She wasn’t wrong there. If they were going to talk about feminine things, she didn’t want Miles present for it. It was totally weird because part of her still liked him. She didn’t want him to know she was bleeding from her vagina.

“She’s going to have to get used to talking about it in front of me. We don’t keep secrets from each other,” he said.

Storm cringed at that. She didn’t know if she was going to get used to talking to him about that, ever. She had never talked about it in front of her dad and there were no other guys in her life.

Yeah, no. That wasn’t going to happen.

“Please,” Hedda begged. “Just this once.”

Storm could hear him sigh and hoped that was his way of saying he was going to leave the room.

“Fine. Just this once. Don’t get used to me leaving,” he said. “I’ll be standing outside the door. You have ten minutes before I’m coming back in.”

“Twenty,” Hedda said. “We need twenty minutes to talk about this stuff.”

“Fifteen and no more.”

She watched as Miles walked out of the room and closed the door. A sigh of relief fell from her mouth as she looked over at Hedda.

“Thank you,” she whispered. “I needed that. He was telling me things, asking me things, and I didn’t want to answer them.”

A concerned look fell over Hedda’s face as Storm talked.

“Telling you what things? Asking you what kind of questions?” she asked. “Was he too harsh on you? I told him he needed to take it easy on you. To give you some space.”

“He just kept asking me what was wrong and that he felt the connection with me,” Storm softly said.

“But he didn’t threaten you again?”

“No, he didn’t.”
