“Your Daddy already has the medicine you need to take every couple of hours. I’ve already told him that if anything gets worse, to come back here,” Angelo said. “I figured you didn’t like to take medicine, so I gave him some suppositories. Don’t fight your Daddy on this, we both want you to get better.”

She gasped when she heard suppository. Miles was not putting something up her bottom. There was no way he was going to do that. He had seen her naked once and that was when she was really sick. Things had changed since then and she didn’t want him looking at her again.

Well, that was what she kept telling herself. Part of her wanted him to see her naked and to see him naked. The thought alone made her wet.

How could she not?

He was a dream. With his looks and how he took care of her when he was with her? He was Daddy material and there was no denying that. The only thing she would change was how he handled leaving her and putting her in danger.

Not cool.

“I want to see you in two weeks if nothing changes. I want to make sure everything is healing nicely and you have no infections,” Angelo said before he turned to Miles. “You know what to look for when a gunshot wound looks infected or anything concerning. If it comes to that point, you bring her immediately to me or I can come to you.”

Miles nodded his head. “Thank you, Angelo. I’ll make sure to look at it every couple hours to make sure it’s okay.”

Angelo turned toward Storm again.

“Now, I want you to be good for your Daddy. Don’t make things difficult for him. Let him check on your wounds and bruises. Let him check your temperature and give you your medicine. Be a good girl for him,” Angelo said.

Her cheeks got hot at the mention of being a good girl for Miles. She could remember him calling her his good girl and she loved it. She loved knowing she was a good girl.

“Ahh, I think I found out her secret,” Angelo said, turning toward Miles. “Tell her to be your good girl and I don’t think you’ll have much of a problem.”

Miles chuckled and nodded his head. Storm couldn’t look at either one of them. Why couldn’t she have had control over her body at that moment and not reacted to his words?

Storm folded her arms and looked down at her lap.

“Don’t pout too much. I know Miles doesn’t like it,” Hedda whispered.

Her shoulders sagged but she still had her arms crossed over her chest.

“I’m going to take the IV out real quick and then you can be on your way home,” Angelo said. “Can you unfold your arms for me?”

Storm hadn’t even realized she still had the IV in her arm. The thought of it being there as she had crossed her arms made her want to puke. She could feel the metal inside her arm.

“Ah, finally aware of the IV in your arm, are we?” Hedda said. “I don’t know how you folded your arms and I didn’t want to mention anything.”

Storm held her arm out, waiting for Angelo to remove IV. She didn’t want to look but could feel him pulling it out.

“Do it quick,” she whispered.

“All done,” he said. “Let me get you a band-aid real quick.”

She could feel the pressure of where his finger was, no doubt holding the cotton swab there so it could bleed into that and not down her arm.

“There we go. All set,” he said.

Looking down at her arm, she saw the band-aid had elephants on them and a smile appeared on her face. She loved elephants.

Her eyes went wide. Where was Mika? Was she okay? Did the kidnappers harm her when she got taken?

“Your stuffed animal is fine and at my house,” Miles said.

Storm looked at him, trying to decipher the emotions going through her.

“Alright, I’ll see you in two weeks,” Angelo said.

She heard his footsteps leave the room, but didn’t relax one bit. Miles was still here and she had to deal with him.
