“Stop fucking stuttering!”

If Miles hated anything, it was stuttering. It wasted so much time.

“I really didn’t know who the delivery driver was! I didn’t know what was going to be in the package!” the guard said.

“Then what the fuck do you know?” Miles asked. “Who was the delivery driver fucking working for?”

“I don’t know.”

Miles didn’t like that answer. He knew the guard had the answer to the questions.

“I gave you a chance,” Miles said. “It seems I need to give you some incentive to talk.”

He walked toward the table of tools and picked up pliers. It was one of his favorite things to use but he placed them back down when he saw the huge knife.

That’ll send a message back to whoever the guard and delivery driver was working for.

“I hope you don’t need those fingers,” Miles said, a smile on his face.

The guy’s face paled as Miles walked toward him with the big knife, but he took a deep breath and relaxed. Ah, so the guy didn’t think Miles was going to actually hurt him.

Well, Miles was happy to show him he was.

“I think I’ll start off with the pinky,” Miles said.

He placed the knife down on the chair arm, right above his pinky. The guard tried to move his hand, but with how Lucius had tied him, there wasn’t anything he was going to be able to do.

Before the guard could beg him not to do it, Miles slammed the knife down and took his pinky finger off at the joint.

Screams filled the room as blood started to pool from his finger.

“Now, want to tell me who the delivery driver and you are working for?” Miles asked. “Or do you want me to take off another finger?”

“I say you should take off a couple more fingers,” Dane said, finally speaking up.

Miles looked up at them and gave a smile. “What do you think, Rogan?”

“I say get the fuck on with it,” he replied.

“No fun. I think a couple more fingers and some cuts on his body should show him we mean business,” Dane said.

Miles looked back down at the guard tied to the chair. He was whimpering and looking down at his hand where his pinky was missing.

“Talk,” Miles barked at him.

The guard looked at him, tears streaming down his face.

“T-Talk to Ren Black from the Underground group!” the guy said.

“Why?” Miles asked.

“Richard was working with him. Ren said he had a package from Richard to take to Storm. I promise I didn’t know what it was going to be. I didn’t think anything of it!”

Rogan walked over to the guard.

“Why was Ren Black working for Richard? He works for Ethan Montgomery,” Rogan said. “Fucking tell me or he’s taking off two fingers.”

Ethan Montgomery was the Don of the Underground crime circuit and Ren was one of his most trusted men. Ethan wasn’t someone you wanted to mess with. Rogan and Ethan had a rivalry that had been going on for years, and it only seemed to get worse as time went on.
