“Rhett. Cinda. It’s good to see you both.” Paige moved to stand beside Nick and Rhett watched Nick put his arm around her and kiss her temple.

“How’s your little boy?” Rhett grinned.

“Growing. I can’t believe he’s four months old. Rona is watching him today.”

“It goes by fast.”

“Are you two ready for the holidays?” Cin asked then sipped her drink.

“Nope. I still have more shopping to do.” Paige shook her head.

“I do too. Every year, I say I’m going to get done early and yet, I don’t.”

“Well, I’m sorry but it’s too damn cold to stand here another minute. At work, I have to be out in this, but I shouldn’t have to be on my off days,” Rhett said, grinning.

“Oh, suck it up, Morrison. You’re the one who suggested we get our trees today.” Cin shook her head.

“Damn, she’s tough,” Nick said.

“We women have to be. I know I do with you, Nicholas Richards.” Paige smiled.

Nick grinned. “Too true. You two enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for coming by and getting your trees. Have a Merry Christmas.”

“You too, Nick. Paige.” Rhett took Cin’s hand then led her to the truck and helped her inside. Then he practically ran around the front to his door. Once he started the truck, they drove home.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be warm again,” Cin said, and her teeth chattered.

“I’ll warm you.” Rhett glanced at her and back to the road.

“I’ll hold you to that.”

“Would you like to go to dinner and a movie tonight?”

“I’d love it.”

“I’ll see if I can get us in the Hartland.”

“Call Grant.”

“I will if I need to.”

After dropping her off, and helping her get the tree inside, he kissed her, then drove home. He still had a few things he needed to get done in the barn then he’d be free for the rest of the day. He drove into the barn and got to work. The ranch was still trying to get caught up from the snowstorm.

He couldn’t wait to see Cin tonight and he just left her.

Chapter Five

Rhett entered the cabin and headed for the shower, then he stopped. He needed to call Cin first. He removed his phone from the back pocket of his jeans and hitSendwhen he found her number.

“Hello?”

“Hi. I’m just coming in from the barn. I’m going to take a shower, and then I’ll be over. Okay?”

“Sounds good, cowboy.”

“I got reservations, then after dinner, we can see a movie. I’ll see you at six.”

“I’ll be ready. Bye for now.”
