I wanted her to.

I wanted her to take off in the other direction while I followed closely behind her, chasing her until I was able to reach her, spin her around, and—

“I didn’t think you would come after—”

“You drugged me?” I asked with a laugh. It stung waking up and realizing what had happened. She’s either lucky the pills weren’t strong enough to do any damage, or she may just be stuck cleaning up this mess all by herself. I was tempted to wait for her in the dark safe house, but my worry for her overrode any anger her actions could have caused. “Should we hash that out now or should we address the dead body first? ’Cause I can assure you that I have somechoicewords about what you did to me.”

“Are you mad?” she asked, her voice low.

The moonlight bouncing off the ocean was the only light that we had, but I could clearly see the blood splattered all over her face and clothes. My clothes.I couldn’t help but think how good she looked in them.

“Furious,” I said with a laugh. “But seeing you like thisalmostmakes up for it all. Do you know how many times I’ve dreamed of seeing you covered in blood?” I couldn’t stop the groan that fell from my lips. “And knowing it’s your shit ex-husband only turns me on even more.”

My body was practically vibrating with need for her. I couldn’t wait until I had my hands on her. Until I could rub that blood into her skin, dirtying her in ways I only dreamed about.

“You’re sick if this is what gets you off,” she spat.

I retook another step forward, unable to stop myself. She was playing with fire and I fucking loved it.

“That makes the two of us, baby.” I took another step forward. Heat coiled in my belly. My heart fluttered against my rib cage. I needed to get to her. My mouth watered at the thought of being able to taste her again. “Sick in the head. Twisted beyond belief. But youlovethat shit as much as I do.”

The shame that crossed her features caused my chest to twist. There was no shame in this.In us.We were who we were and even if our souls were filled with darkness, at least we were together in it.

“Let me help you,” I said, dropping my voice, trying to calm her. “I’ll show you that there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

I raised my hand to her. Her eyes looked toward it, but she made no move to take it.

I saw the moment she decided flash across her eyes. The fear in my words set her off, but it was combined with something else. There was a part of her that felt it too. Felt the darkness growing inside her. She was scared, and also…

Excited.

Looks like the little agent wants to play.

She took a single step back.

“You run from me, and you know what I’ll do when I catch you, don’t you?”

She knew. Her eyes met mine, and there was a moment when her breathing stopped entirely.

She nodded. It was so small I almost missed it.But I didn’t.

A smile broke across my face that was so large it caused my cheeks to hurt.

“Run.”

She wasted no time in turning on her heels and running down the beach. It took me by surprise how fast she was.

She’s fucking perfect.

I let her have a few seconds’ head start before I chased after her. The sound of my feet hitting the sand caused her to look back at me. Panic flashed across her face before a crazed smile grazed her bloodied lips.

It took me but a few seconds to catch up to her. I reached out to grab the back of her shirt, but the fabric slipped right through my fingers.

That sure as hell got her moving fast. But the rocky beach was only so large, and it wouldn’t take long for us to get to the sharp bluffs that encapsulated the area.

But poor little Blake didn’t have enough stamina to keep it up for long either. She may have gotten past me the first time, but she wouldn’t the second.

The thrill of the chase caused my legs to work faster, my heart to pump harder, my pussy to clench, There was only one thing I could see at the end of this tunnel, and it was Blake writhing under me.
