Someone bumps into me, bringing my internal dialogue to a screeching halt.

Play it cool, Sof.

No one needs to know.

It’s your secret to keep.

I force my feet to move.

With my suitcase in tow, I stride towards the tall, handsome man who took my breath away at first sight.

“It feels like I haven’t seen your beautiful face for a century,” he says, picking me up into his arms in front of hundreds of prying eyes.

I didn’t know it was possible to shriek and swoon at the same time.

He puts me down, grabs the back of my head, lifts my chin, and drops a chaste kiss on my lips. “I’ve missed you so much.”

I take hold of his forearms. “I’ve missed you too.”

He strokes my hair. “Are you tired from the trip? Do you need a nap when we get to the hotel?”

I shake my head. “I slept for a few hours on the plane. I’m fully charged!”

“In other words, you’re ready to have fun in Vegas?”

“Hell yeah!”

“Good answer.”

He grabs my suitcase with one hand and interlaces his fingers with mine, dragging me outside.

“You’re so tan,” he says. “It wasn’t all work, I gather.”

I peer up at him. “I have a base, it was as hot as Hades, I was able to enjoy a day of R&R in Puerto Rico, and the client preferred to eat his meals outdoors.”

He nods.

His pursed lips suggest he hates the mention of my client, even though he knows nothing happened between us.

“Well, you’re all mine for the next few days.”

I shouldn’t be this giddy by his jealous streak.

My head exploded when the chauffeur parked in front of the Bellagio. We’re not only staying in one of the most expensive hotels on The Strip, Bryce booked the Chairman Suite.

I run around like a puppy explores his new home.
