“Dad, she’s alive. I went to her job the other day and they said she had put in her resignation. Now I just have to find her.” Greyson hums.

Ru clears his throat, “And when you find her, what are you expecting?”

“She probably will want nothing to do with me, but like I said. I’m going to fight for her. She probably is struggling to find a place. Maybe if I offer her a place to live, she will accept and that will give us time to get close again.”

I scoff hearing the shit coming out of his mouth. I would have rather lived in the streets. The fact that he was still fucking me while fucking my mother is just unforgivable. He must have felt like a King. Playing me like some woman who hehadto marry. He let me believe in the future he didn’t even want. He treated me like a chore. He didn’t value me at all. I’m not asking for the world. Just a guy who wants to share his life with me.

“Son, there are other girls out there, you know. Maybe this is a sign to move on. You have been obsessing over her for a year now. You could have seen her, but you didn’t. This isn’t love, it’s guilt. Getting back together with her won’t fix your guilt. You fucked up and these are the consequences you have to live with. I do believe you loved her at one point, but you also cheated on her at a time when she believed she was going to be your wife. That shit is tough to get through. It can’t be fixed by giving her a place to stay.” Ru explains. “Step into her shoes, what if it was you getting ready to be with her and you found her with another guy?”

“I never meant for her to find me. I wasn’t trying to hurt her.” Greyson scoffs. He still doesn’t understand why he is wrong. If I never found him, he would have continued cheating on me, if not with my mother, then someone else.

Greyson snatched away my life and now he wants it back because he realizes his life is shit without me. If you love me so much why the fuck would you look for someone else? Never again will I fall for him.

Ru

“Why do you look so nice?” Greyson interrogates.

I try my best to hide my smile. “I just came from a date with a charming woman. She’s career driven, enthusiastic, creative with an eye for beauty, and honest to a fault.”

“You sound like you’re in love.” He laughs.

No, I’m not there. I may be in lust, but not love. “I’m just getting to know her.” This was true.

Taurus has been in my home for not even a week yet and I have already found out so much from her. Her upbringing, her dreams, passions, her trauma, and now what she dreams of…which is me.

I continue my talk with Greyson, but my mind wonders what she is doing in my room. Is she sitting on my bed? Will her scent stain my room? That sweet scent consumes my mind every time I am near her.

“Dad?” Greyson snaps me back into focus.

I clear my throat. “It’s late, I have a meeting in the morning. Next time call before you come over.”

“Since when do I have to call?” He eyes me suspiciously.

I roll my eyes and lie, “I’m seeing someone now. Be respectful.”

He nods and makes his way out of the door. I lock it and make my way to my room. When I open the door, Taurus is sitting on my bed with her knees up to her face, showing me the sliver of her white panties below her dress. I look away quickly and call out to her. “He’s gone.”

“Thanks, for hiding and defending me.” Her knees lower and she gets off the bed. She glances at the bed. “I hope you don’t mind; I was sitting on the bed.” Her smile was sheepish.

Of course, I mind. Now it will smell like you, and I’ll never be able to stop the dreams now. Smelling her scent as I sleep. I’m beyond fucked. How am I going to get you out of my mind?

“It’s fine.” I lie.

She walks past me out of the room. “You never gave me the grand tour of your place. Can you show me?”

I follow her into the hall, “Follow me.” I answer.

She follows me as I walk down the hall into my favorite room.

Taurus

“This is my favorite room in the whole house.” Ru chuckles softly.

What is it? Sex dungeon? No, he wouldn’t show me that. Unless my confession about my dreams made him want to show me.

When he opens the door, it’s dark until he switches the lights on. On the wall, there are his mother’s most iconic designs in cases hanging off the walls. Then there is a beautiful sewing machine in the middle of the room.

“Do you sew?” I ask.
