Of their own accord, my hands smooth down to the backs of Alex’s thighs and I lift her so her legs are wrapped around my waist.

Our mouths are still connected, like we’re two starving people trying to devour a meal. My feet move to the unit that sits on the back wall of the closet and I place Alex atop it. I break the kiss and rest my forehead on hers, trying to calm down my racing heart.

This damn woman.

Remembering where we are and what we’re here to accomplish, I step back before things go any further. Clearing my throat, I say, “Sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. Not when I can’t finish what I started.”

Her fingers run over her swollen mouth, and she blinks up at me as if she’s not sure what the hell just happened.

Before she can say anything more, I sweep my thumb across her bottom lip and say, “Mark my words, though, Alex. When we’ve done what we need to do downstairs, I’m going to bring you back up here and fuck you into oblivion. You’ll still be able to feel me deep inside that pretty little cunt of yours for weeks to come.”

I drop my hand and step back out of her reach, scrubbing my hand over my chin. My eyes roam over her from head to toe. She looks a little shell shocked and–if the way she’s wriggling on the counter is any indication–a lot horny.

“You need a minute?” I ask, certain that she does based on the fact she hasn’t said a word since she ran her hand down my chest.

She only nods her head, but that’s not going to do. As if I’m a glutton for punishment, I step back between her legs, running my thumb back over her delectable mouth. My eyes intent on her lips.

“I need you to use your words, Alex.” Even to my own ears my voice is thick with desire.

“Yes—” she croaks out before clearing her throat. “I’m going to need a minute.”

I drop a kiss on the top of her head before I walk out of the bedroom and make my way downstairs. I adjust myself in my jeans and will the hard on I’ve had since she touched me to deflate. The last thing I need is to walk into this kitchen with a tent in my jeans.

Sucking in a deep breath, I push open the kitchen door and walk into the room. George has Miriam between his body and the kitchen counter. She’s giggling at something he’s said. I fight the scowl that’s trying to break out onto my face.

Sophie is sitting in Daniel’s lap at the kitchen table, engrossed in the newspaper laid out in front of them. Jensen is nowhere to be seen.

When neither couple acknowledges that I’ve walked into the room, I clear my throat, stuffing my hands into the pockets of my dark blue jeans. George pulls away from Miriam, turning to face me. A smile stretches across his face, and he genuinely looks pleased to see me.

“Come in, Sebastian. Take a seat and I’ll grab you a drink. We’ve got beer, whiskey, water, soda, wine?”

“Water would be great.”

George chuckles as he moves to the cabinet and pulls out a glass. “We don’t normally drink that much, but it’s good to see you could keep up.”

“I’m not sure I’ll be doing it again.”

I take a seat at the kitchen table with Sophie and Daniel. Sophie gives me a soft smile, running her fingers through Daniel’s hair. He nuzzles his nose into the column of her throat and I wonder if I’ve chosen the wrong seat and should have given them some space.

Alex walks into the room just as I’m considering moving to a stool at the kitchen island. She doesn’t make eye contact and I see the blush that steals over her cheeks as she takes in the couples in the room. When she goes to walk past me, I snake my arm around her waist and tug her into my lap. She lands with a gasp, her eyes searching my own.

“Bastian?” she whispers so only I can hear her. There’s a question in her tone.

I dip my head so it looks like I’m mimicking the position Daniel and Sophie were in moments ago.

My voice is low, and I don’t miss the slight tremor that passes through her as I say, “What has got you blushing, princess?”

“I don’t blush,” she protests, dropping her chin to her chest as she tries to hide from me.

“I don’t believe you, because I can see it… right here.” I run my finger across the apple of her cheek where a soft blush glows.

“Are you still thinking about what’s going to happen later, or did you slip your fingers into that tight little pussy to give yourself some relief before you came downstairs?”

I lift her hand to my mouth and smell her fingers as I kiss the back of each finger.

Holy shit.

I was only teasing her, but the distinct smell of her arousal fills my nostrils and tells me I hit the nail on the head. When my gaze meets hers, it takes all of my self control to not lift her from my lap and carry her back upstairs.
