I roll my lips between my teeth and shake my head once. My heart pounds in my chest, attempting to break through my ribcage, and I step forward quickly and cover her up with the bright, cheerful yellow dress. Then I pull her up to a sitting position and frame her face with my hands.
“I’m not afraid of anything, princess. Don’t challenge me, or your ass will be perfectly pink like your lips.”

“Come get the fucking omega.I don’t want her here anymore,” Austin barks through the line. Felix shoots me a look that makes it clear he could hear him, too.
“Did she do something?” I ask.
“Just come get her before I do something I’ll regret.”
I push off the sofa and grab my blazer from the chair at the island I had left it at. “I can be there in twenty.”
“Make it ten,” he orders, and the line goes dead.
“Make it ten?” Felix laughs. “He knows this is New York City, and he’ll be lucky if we make it in twenty, right?”
“Come on, something has gotten under his skin.” We head for the elevator as I send a quick text to one of our drivers to meet us out front.
“I’d say she is brunette, dark eyed, five-foot something omega, with a knack for pressing his buttons.”
Felix punches the main floor button, and the door slides close. Somehow, the driver reaches the front before we arrive, and we are at the office in record time. The mid-day traffic benefits us, and in fifteen minutes, we are pulling up outside Zade enterprises.
The security guard nods us through the metal detectors, ignoring the fact that they both go off. We are the only ones allowed to carry within the building. It is a safety measure Austin insisted on. And with his background, I suppose he isn’t wrong.
After getting off the elevator on the top floor, we head for his office. He is behind his desk, a scowl on his face and papers spread all over the surface. Although he doesn’t look as if he is reading any of them. He glances up when we enter and points to the door of the boardroom.
“She’s in there.”
With a nod, I take three long strides to the door and pull it open. I’m hit immediately by the smell of sex. Of an omega on the verge of a heat. Audrey spins slowly in a seat near the window, one foot on the ground moving her. Her brow lifting when she catches sight of us, and she comes to a stop.
I try not to inhale deeply, although every sense inside of me wants to. Felix passes me, oblivious to the fact that Austin may very well have crossed some pretty hard lines. His restraint would have to be superpowered to ignore the perfume coming off of her.
“Hey, we came to get you, break you out of this prison.”
Her gaze flicks to the doorway, and she licks her lips. “That’s probably for the best, actually.”
She uncrosses her legs and stands. With purpose, she strides across the room and into Austin’s office. I follow, watching curiously as she moves across the space to stand in front of his desk. He looks up at her, and she leans forward, her hands on the cherry surface.
“I want my panties back,” she says.
My eyes unwillingly drop to her skirt. The fact that she doesn’t have her underwear on and she thinks he has them. Oh God. He did it. He crossed all the uncrossable lines. A muscle ticks in his jaw as he looks at us.
“Get her out of here,” he orders.
“I said I want my panties back,” she says again.
He huffs out a laugh. “That won’t be happening. Now be a good girl and go with Dean and Felix.”
“Don’t you dare patronize me with your good girl shit.”
He stands up slowly, planting his palms on his desk and closing the distance between them. “Unless you plan on beingclaimedby me, you better go. Do you understand, my little omega?” He caresses the side of her face and runs his thumb over her lip as if he wants to kiss her, and she pulls back with a hard swallow.
“Fine, keep them. Do what ever perverted shit you plan to do with them. Enjoy jacking off into them.”
