Minutes later they both sighed when his cock softened and slid out. Ethan rolled off Trev, pulling him over to hold him close. They were both relieved that their love for one another had been accepted by their friends and they didn’t have to hide it from them.

CHAPTER 14

The next morning, while having breakfast, Trev looked at Ethan across the table. “I’m gonna txt Eddie and see if he wants to meet up after work for a drink. Try and talk things through a bit so it’s less weird.”

Ethan looked up. “I don’t know, you can’t magic away romantic feelings. Might just make him feel worse if he knows that you know,” he cautioned.

“Maybe. But maybe I can give him closure so he can move on from those feelings. He’ll be able to find someone else to be happy with,” Trev pointed out, hoping he could help his friend let go.

Ethan looked at Trev thoughtfully. “That’s a good point, I hope he does. He deserves to be happy.”

Trev picked up his phone and typed a message:

Trev:

Hey pal, want to meet up after work for a drink?

Trev resumed eating his eggs and a couple minutes later his phone beeped, signaling a reply:

Eddie:

Sure, meet at the pub at 5:30?

Trev:

Sounds good, see you then

“I’m meeting him at five thirty for a drink,” Trev said looking at Ethan.

Ethan nodded. “Okay cool.”

Trev walked into the pub that evening feeling a little nervous, he wasn’t exactly sure what he was going to say to Eddie, he was just going to wing it and hope for the best. Eddie was already sitting at a bar table toward the back with a beer so Trev waved and went to the bar to get his own drink before sitting to join him.

“Hey man, how was work?” Trev asked as he approached and took the seat opposite Eddie.

“Same old, same old. Stare at a computer screen all day. You?” Eddie asked with a sweet smile.

“It was good but the pressure is on to finish the building sites now. Because of lockdown the developers want to increase the speed to reduce the penalty fees so I’m busting my ass getting the house wired,” Trev replied with a sigh.

“That sucks. It’s not your fault that some fucked up virus is circulating,” Eddie said, sympathizing with Trev.

“Yeah, but I’ll charge them overtime rates for the long days and I can use the money since there was a month without work,” Trev said with a shrug, feeling his nerves bubbling. Eddie was the sweetest guy and he was internally agonizing over possibly hurting him more.

“That’s not too bad then I guess,” Eddie said with a smile.

They both took a gulp of their beer and there was a moment of quiet so Trev thought he’d just jump right in and rip the band aid off. He took a deep, steadying breath.

“So, I wanted to talk to you about something,” Trev said.

“Sure, what’s up?” Eddie asked, looking sweet and innocent.

Trev felt like shit, he felt like he was about to hurt a puppy. “I get the feeling that you weren’t entirely happy that I’m in a relationship with Ethan,” he stated.

“Oh … no, I’m glad you’re happy,” Eddie said reassuringly though his smile had dimmed somewhat.

“That’s not what I mean. I got the impression you weren’t happy that it wasEthanthat I’m in a relationship with. There’s no other way to say this I guess … Eddie, do you have feelings for me?” Trev asked gently.

Eddie’s eyes went wide. “I … um … fuck,” he sighed, “I guess if you figured it out there’s no point in denying it,” he muttered, looking into his beer.
