And that was where we got married – on the white sand beach of a deserted island. I think it’s safe to say it was one of the more unconventional weddings ever on record.

Sebastian officiated from memory – from “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today,” right down to “I now pronounce you man and wife.”

When Sebastian got to, “If any person has cause why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace,” Johnny looked around theatrically.

“I think you’re in the clear,” he whispered.

When we got to the personal vows we had both written, Connor said, “I had mine written out, but I left them back in New York.”

I smiled through my tears. “Me too.”

“I just want to say, that this has been the hardest two weeks of my entire life… and I knew I could count on you during every second of it. I never, ever doubted you, your love, or your support. And I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always come after you… I will always risk everything for you. Because you’re my rock… my best friend… and the love of my life.”

I started crying. “I love you.”

“And I love you, more than you could possibly know,” he smiled, tears welling up in his eyes.

At Sebastian’s direction, Connor slipped the ring on my finger, and I slipped the gold band on his. But before our impromptu minister could say anything more, we kissed passionately, unable to wait one second longer.
