“Irisah isn’t a common name. If it’s the same girl I know, she used to be a club girl for one of our enemy clubs. What’d she do to you?”

“Manipulated me into believing her kid was mine. I’d been with her until I got my memory back.”

Storm furrowed his brow. “You lost your memory.”

“Listen, I don’t want to talk about this shit with you. Irisah screwed me over, and she showed up today with Cole and blew my life out of the water. I hadn’t told Ella about the kid, and now she hates me.”

“Irisah has a kid named Cole?”

“Yeah.”

“How old?” Storm put his hands on his hips, and his gray eyes darkened.

“Why?”

“Because he might be my brother’s kid.”

Very interesting. “Is your brother in jail?”

“Yes. He gets out in six months.”

“Then I’d say it’s a good chance we’re talking about the same people. Cole turns six in December.”

“We need to find them.” Storm took off toward the van and told his SAA and another guy about Irisah.

I went to Xabier and leaned against Rockson’s swing set. “I’m sorry about Keeno.” I gave him a brotherly hug.

“Thanks. It was crazy when we got here. We’d seen the bikes, so we left our hogs down the road and jogged over. Vegas had a gun to Ella’s head, trying to force her into the car.”

“Shit.”

“We ran up just as she threw herself into him, and they both fell. The gun went off, and the bullet struck Keeno in the chest.” He lowered his head. “I caught him as he fell.”

“And Ella?”

“She went nuts, hitting Vegas’s face with a rock. I couldn’t leave my brother to help her.”

“It looks like she did okay on her own.” I patted his back. “I appreciate you coming to help her.”

“We didn’t do anything.”

“It’s okay, brother.”

“Rocky!” Storm hollered. “Come tell my guys what you know about Irisah.”

“Will you be okay?” I asked Xabier.

“Yeah, boss.”

I felt pulled in every direction. But the one person I wanted to need me didn’t. Ella had her good friend Tomcat at her side. And I had nobody.

Well, Storm needed me so he could find Irisah. That was something, I guessed.

Just this morning, I had been dead set on destroying Storm and his club. Revenge had fueled my hate toward my half brother. But after all this death and destruction, my broken woman and stolen son… I didn’t feel the same.
