“We should probably go slow,” Aero said, reaching up and tucking a loose lock of hair behind her ear. “I still have trouble with, ah, touching.”

“That’s okay,” Sam said. “I’m not in any rush.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes,” Sam said with certainty in her tone. She wanted this man. Even now, with him in front of her, she felt a warm, wet rush between her legs.

“There’s something else,” he said, hoping his cheeks didn’t flame with embarrassment.

“Tell me,” Sam insisted. He was talking, and she never wanted him to stop.

“I haven’t been with anyone in a long time,” Aero admitted.

“Oh,” Sam said, her brows drawing together.

“So, I guess I’m out of practice,” he said, feigning a chuckle.

“That makes two of us,” Sam muttered, looking away from him.

Releasing one of her hands, he tilted her chin up.

“Have you been with a man, Sam?” he asked, his voice low and husky.

“Yes,” she said, “but not for a long time.”

She’d had a boyfriend in high school to whom she’d given her virginity on prom night. There had been a handful of drunken encounters while she was in college, followed by a couple of online dating failures. Her sex life now was mostly limited to videos she shouldn’t watch with toys she shouldn’t have.

Aero didn’t understand. How could men resist her? She was gorgeous, passionate, and sexy. Even now, in the midst of a difficult conversation, he wanted to touch her, taste her, and find out what every inch of her skin felt like.

Leaning forward, Aero brushed a kiss across her lips. Sam moaned softly, her lips parting. His tongue flicked out, tasting her lips.

“I’m gonna touch you,” Sam told him, and he nodded. Her hands came up to cup the back of his head, holding his lips gently against hers.

He liked it. He liked it a lot.

“More,” he rasped, dragging in a breath before taking her lips again.

Sliding her hands beneath his shirt collar, she trailed her fingers over his shoulders, stroking and kneading the muscles. He groaned.

“Good?” Sam asked.

“So good,” he breathed, cupping her face and tilting it, sliding his tongue gently along hers.

Sam whimpered, resisting the urge to push him back and straddle him.

“Sam, I,” he panted, but the front door swung open and Molly walked in.

“Oh, shit, sorry,” she said, blocking her eyes with one hand.

Aero dragged himself away from Sam, leaning back and putting space between them.

“It’s fine,” Sam said, her cheek flushing. “Come on.”

She held out her hand to Aero. He took it, and she guided him down the hall to her room, all but slamming the door behind them and flipping the lock.

He glanced around the space. It was small, with tan carpet and light blue walls. The furniture was dark wood, and her bed was perfectly made; the beaded navy throw pillow was placed just so in the center. Even that made Aero smile.

“Would you like to sit down?” Sam offered, perching on the edge of her mattress but not releasing his hand. Aero followed, his knee bumping hers as he sat.
