“Thank you. This was perfect. A tranquil little town is just what I needed,” I express my gratitude.

“You’re welcome. Now, come on. I have more to show you,” Vlad says, a hint of excitement in his voice.

“There is more?” I ask, my curiosity piqued. His mischievous smirk widens as he nods.

“Yes. There is more,” he says, his voice laced with excitement.

Eagerly, I follow him out of the bustling restaurant and onto the cobblestone sidewalk. The air is filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread and the distant sound of street musicians fills my ears.

As we stroll along, I can’t help but admire the charming shops and inviting restaurants that line the sidewalk. The vibrant colors of storefronts catch my eye, contrasting against the gray cobblestones beneath my feet. “It’s beautiful here,” I exclaim, taking in the picturesque scene.

With a knowing smile, he leads me into a quaint antique store, its weathered sign swinging gently in the breeze. As I step inside, my jaw drops in awe. The store is a treasure trove of nostalgia, filled with old records, vintage movies, elegant furniture, and timeless clothing. The scent of aged paper and polished wood lingers in the air, creating a sense of nostalgia.

Overwhelmed by the vast collection, I marvel at the artifacts surrounding me. “Look at all of this. It’s amazing,” I breathe, my voice filled with wonder.

His eyes sparkle with satisfaction. “I thought you might like it,” he says, his voice filled with warmth and affection. A playful grin dances across his lips. “You keep looking at me like that, and we’ll need a hotel room,” he teases, causing a blush to creep up my cheeks. With a gentle kiss on my forehead, he suggests, “Maybe we should stop by the hotel later.”

But I yearn to explore more of this charming town. “Let’s take a walk,” I suggest. My heart swelled with contentment. Agreeing with a nod, he leads me back outside. As we stroll along the sidewalks, we peer into shop windows, captivated by the unique displays. The town emanates a cozy ambiance, with friendly locals exchanging warm greetings and engaging in lively conversations.

I can’t help but express my admiration for the town. “This place is beautiful,” I remark dreamily. “Maybe someday we can have a house in a small town like this. It would be so nice to have a quiet life and just enjoy each other. Maybe just for a getaway. I don’t imagine we could stay here long without trouble following us.”

He squeezes my hand gently, understanding the underlying concern. “Indeed, it’s a small community,” he explains, his voice filled with a sense of belonging. “The people here are very family-oriented, many of them having lived here their whole lives.”

As we continue our leisurely walk, I can’t help but envision a life filled with simplicity and tranquility, away from the chaos of the city. The serenity of this town and the genuine warmth of its people create a longing within me. Though I know trouble may find us wherever we go, even for a fleeting moment, I can’t help but savor the dream of a peaceful life shared with him.

Just for now, my love, soon everything will smooth out. The bustling city will quiet down, and the aroma of peace will fill the air, making it safe for you. I can’t help but smile at the thought, for this is the very reason we embarked on this journey. We yearned for freedom, for a world where everyone can live harmoniously. And that day is approaching, drawing nearer with each passing moment.

“Do you think it’s going to be soon?” I ask, my voice filled with anticipation.

“We can hope,” he replies confidently. “And when that day arrives, we can finally unite in marriage and start building our own family.”

“A family?” I repeat, feeling a surge of warmth spreading through my heart.

“Yes,” he affirms. “We haven’t discussed it much, but that’s what I desire. A family with you.”

“Me too,” I confess, my voice filled with joy and love.

“So, when everything falls into place, will you marry me?” he asks a glimmer of excitement in his eyes.

I can’t help but smile, my heart skipping a beat. “Is that a proposal, Vlad?” I tease, my smile widening.

He gently pulls me to a stop in the middle of the bustling sidewalk, his hand tenderly brushing my hair away from my face. “Will you marry me?” he asks again, his voice filled with sincerity.

My heart swells with happiness, and tears of joy well up in my eyes. “Of course, I will,” I reply, my voice trembling with emotion. “But are you certain?”

“To have you as my wife?” he says, his voice filled with conviction. “I would cross oceans, traverse continents, and do it all over again. I love you. I want you.”

“And I want you,” I whisper, my voice filled with unwavering love.

A sense of excitement fills the air as we stand there, the tears glistening in my eyes. “Good,” he says, his voice filled with anticipation. “Because we have arrived.”

I follow his gaze, my eyes drawn to a grand, ancient cathedral. Its weathered stone walls stand tall, embracing the weight of history. Majestic stained glass windows catch the sunlight, casting a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colors onto the worn cobblestone street. The gentle breeze carries the scent of incense, mingling with the faint aroma of freshly cut flowers. The towering spires reach towards the heavens, instilling a sense of awe and reverence in the air. It’s a sight so breathtakingly gothic that I can’t tear my eyes away.

As I turn my gaze back to him, my heart skips a beat. There, before me, he kneels down on one knee, a delicate ring held in his hand. The world around us seems to fade into a hushed silence, as if time itself has paused to witness this magical moment.

“We have been through so much together, and each day my love for you grows stronger,” he declares, his voice filled with sincerity. “I can’t wait one more moment to marry you. Will you be my wife?”

I look around and realize that everyone has come to a standstill, their eyes fixed on us. I meet his gaze again, my eyes brimming with joy and disbelief. “Yes. Of course, yes,” I whisper, my voice filled with emotion. “I will marry you. I will always be yours.”
