Rajiv nodded.
“So, what about the rest of your grandchildren?” Rajiv asked. “Do you intend to play cupid for them as well?”
“Who knows? Only time will tell, right?” Janak finished his drink. “Go on, your wife is coming toward you. You have my blessings and my support. Keep her happy always.”
“Thank you, and I will,” Rajiv said. He turned, and there she was. His beautiful wife. She smiled as she walked toward him, looking resplendent in her gold draped sari. He met her halfway.
“Having a good time, Princess?” he asked.
She touched the edge of his black bow tie. “The best. But honestly, I am tired now.”
He hooked his arms around her waist. “Just one more night, my love. Tomorrow, as soon as breakfast is done, you and I are going to take off for our honeymoon. Turks and Caicos is beautiful at this time of the year. You will love it there.”
“I can’t wait,” Sheena said. Then she frowned. “We are stopping the night in Dubai first, right? Avi has planned something special for us.”
“Of course, we are. Our friends are waiting to celebrate with us.”
She put her head on his chest. “You know, I wish a time comes when we can introduce them to this whole gang of family and friends that we have here.”
“I can imagine Kabier and Aaryan getting along like a house on fire,” Rajiv thought aloud. “They’re so alike. Hopefully, someday, if you can convince Aaryan to accept your family and friends into his life. He needs more friends he can trust. They all do. I hope one day, a time comes when they will be able to step out into the open again.”
“I will pray for that day as well,” Sheena said.
She pressed closer to him. His body, as usual, reacted, hardening in response.
“Uh, Rajiv…” Sheena began. “Will it be okay if we slip away early? It is our wedding night, and you and I…we haven’t had any time alone in ages. I’ve forgotten what your skin feels like against mine. It’s been too long we’ve been apart. I want you to make me lose my mind.”
He chuckled. “So, you finally accept that I do blow your world apart.”
“I’ll confirm that once you better your last performance. Can you?”
Fire. She was all fire, and he was going to burn with her again.
He took her hand.
She stopped him before they could go forward. “You do blow my world apart. Only you. I love you so much.”
“And I love you, Princess. It’s always been only you.” Smiling, he led her out of the reception hall.

Janak Sehgal grinnedas he watched Sheena and Rajiv leave their reception. His heart was bursting with happiness. Rajiv was perfect for Sheena. He was a good man, responsible and protective. He’d give Sheena the life she deserved. Her settling in Dubai was the best thing to happen to her. His angel was going to be happy; he knew it. She was the first of his three angels to get married. Sheena, Keya, and Raashi, those three girls were the light of his life. His pride and joy. Each one was unique and special in their own way. He searched the crowd for Keya and Raashi.
Raashi was on the dance floor, dancing with Keya’s younger brother Akash. Keya and Kabier were nowhere to be seen. He had been observing Kabier around Keya, and he knew that his grandson was besotted with her. Nothing would give him more delight than to see Kabier marry Keya. They were perfect for one another, and he had a feeling that would happen soon.
His eyes tracked the rest of his grandchildren. Sameer and Rishi were dancing with their twin sisters, Shauna and Rhea. Pride filled him on seeing them all. If there was one thing he wished more than anything else, it was that he lived long enough to see his grandchildren settled. He wanted each one of them to fall in love and find the perfect partner in life. After all, if you have love in your life, then you have everything.
He sighed. He was going to be there for each of his grandchildren, pushing them in the right direction when their turn came to fall in love. But right now, it was time for Kabier and Keya. As for the rest of his loved ones, their time would come, too. He’d ensure it.
