“That’s my most recent and my most serious, but I dated a few women years ago in college and after that.” She nods. “What happened with yours?”

“Well, I dated a guy for three years in high school and my freshman year of college and you know how that goes.” She rolls her eyes. “We went to different colleges and…” She trails off.

“You drifted apart?”

She shoots me a look. “If by that, you mean hedriftedinto another girl’s vagina, then sure.”

I was hoping that wasn’t where she was going with that although I had a sneaking suspicion it was. “Sounds like a dick.”

“Oh, he was.” She chuckles. “My college boyfriend was only marginally better.” She slides on her dress and turns around so I can zip her up and I’m already trying to figure out when I can zip it down.

“I’m sorry.” I press a kiss to her neck.

A voice breaks through the tension and I realize it’s the flight attendant through the loudspeaker. “Good morning, Mr. Beckham, Miss Graham. We are preparing for our landing. If you are able, we would love if you would take your seats. If you are unable, we advise that you not use any of the bathroom features, and to stay seated, thank you!”

Raegan giggles and grabs my hand. “This was the most fun I’ve ever had on a plane. Thank you. I would be willing to fly on this again, so long as we can make use of the bedroom.”

“Believe me, Raegan, when you and I are on a plane, we will be making very good use of any bed on board.”

An hour later, we are walking towards the concierge desk of the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami with her hand encased in mine. After tomorrow, I won’t be able to touch her freely for three days so I’m relishing in doing so now. We make it to the front desk and a woman gives us a bright smile.

“Mr. Beckham, welcome back. I’m April. Thank you for choosing us again for your stay. As a valued member of the Four Seasons family, it’s always lovely to see you. How was your travel from Philadelphia?”

“Great.” I give her a polite smile and pull Raegan closer to me.

“Lovely to hear. The presidential suite is all ready and the rest of the rooms will be ready tomorrow upon your team’s arrival.” She looks at her computer. “They are expected around noon?”

I nod. “Yes, that’s correct. Mr. Holt should be checking in sometime this evening.”

“Excellent, his room is also ready.” She lifts a tray with two champagne flutes and sets it on the counter. “Here are your keys, and your luggage is being delivered to your room as we speak. Is there anything else I can assist you with at this time?”

“No, that’s all, thank you.” I grab them both and hand one to Raegan which she takes as I begin to usher her towards the elevator when she stops.

“Wait,” she looks at me and then April, confused. “I should have a room as well. Is mine ready yet?”

April frowns. “I’m sorry, I thought only Mr. Beckham’s room was needed at this time.” She begins typing into her computer and I realize now I probably should have told Raegan what I did.

“Pardon me for just a second,” April says, probably starting to panic that she can’t find a record for a reservation for her room.

“It’s not necessary,” I tell her. “We only need one room.”

“But I booked—” Raegan starts.

“I canceled it,” I tell her before turning back to April. “We are all set, thank you very much.”

“Oh, wonderful,” April says with an obvious sigh of relief. “Please call us if you need anything. We have made a note that you will need a car around seven-thirty tonight?”

“Correct.”

“Wonderful, enjoy your stay,” she says with a nod as I lead Raegan away from the desk.

“You canceled it?” She asks as we walk through the massive lobby.

“Yes, did you think you were staying in a different room tonight?”

“Well, no.” She bites on her bottom lip. “But I need to stay in my own room tomorrow.”

“Do you?” I ask her as I press the button for the elevator.
