“Tell me you’re mine,” he breathes the words onto my damp skin. The demand rocking me to my core.
I can’t say it.
I won’t.
Even if I want to.
So I kiss him instead. Plunging my tongue deep into his mouth and shoving my fingers into his hair.
“Fuck, sunshine,” he rasps. “I need to get inside you.”
“Yes,” I beg. “Yes.”
Theo hauls me up against the wall, trapping my body between the tiles and his chest. He’s so big and strong, I feel safe in his arms.
I shouldn’t.
But I do.
He thrusts into me with one smooth glide, filling me to the hilt, our collective moans drowned out by the water.
“Never, not ever gonna get enough of this.” Theo growls.
I won’t ever admit it…
But I hope he doesn’t.

We end up missing first period. But it’s worth it.
Theo heads over to the gym to grovel to Coach Walker while I head to class. His words play on a loop in my head.
Tell me you’re mine.
I didn’t say the words, but I didn’t exactly stop him from fucking me in the shower either.
Everything is such a mess.
But he’s dangling the chance at something better in front of me. Even if it’s crazy, even if we both know it can never work.
Jesus, Raine, you need to get a grip.
I avoid all the common areas between my classes, keeping a low profile for the day. Theo texts me a couple of times, demanding to know why I’m avoiding him but I make up some excuse about having an extra session with Miss Linley.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t hunt me down and call my bluff.
By the time the final bell of the day goes, I’m a nervous ball of energy. But I can’t see Theo yet. Not until I figure out what I’m going to say or do.
I can’t stay here.
Can I?
I’ve made friends—albeit tenuously—with Tally, Abi, and Liv. Something tells me they’ll accept me into the fold no questions asked if Theo declares me his.
The same with the other Heirs. Although, I’m not sure what Elliot might do once he discovers the truth about who tagged his beloved car.
I must really be broken because part of me almost wants to find out.
