“Ease up, stud. Millie is upstairs and she’s been through enough without walking in on doing something we don’t want her to see.”

He pouts, and I can’t suppress the laughter bubbling in my chest.

“Fuck, I love that sound.” He brushes his mouth over mine, stealing a chaste kiss. “And for as much as I want to lay you out on the table and eat your pussy until you’re screaming my name, you’re right. She’s been through enough.”

He gets a faraway look, but I gently scrape my nails over his jaw, coaxing him back to me. “Millie’s your sister, she’ll be fine.”

He gives me an imperceptible nod. “I hope so.”

“She knows that you’d do anything to protect her, that means something Theo. Why don’t you go work off some steam with the boys and I’ll go check on her.”

“Fine. But later, I’m cashing in on this.” He grabs my arse and thrusts upwards a little, making us both moan.

“Tease.” I chuckle.

“Damn right.” He slaps my arse as I clamber off his lap.

God, I’m going to miss this. For the first time in my life, I feel like I belong.

He did that—Theo gave me that.

But it’s all going to come crashing down when he finds out the truth.

I don’t think I’ve ever hated myself more than I do in this moment.

Swallowing down the wave of emotion rising inside of me, I inhale a small breath and give him my best smile. “See you in a bit?”

“You know it.” He smiles back and I see it, right there in his eyes.

Theo loves me.

He’s in love with me.

And I’m going to break his heart.

Me and Millie spend the morning hanging out in Theo’s room while the boys do whatever boys with more money than sense do.

When he finally appears, he’s sweaty and flushed but has a twinkle in his eye that wasn’t there earlier.

“What are my girls up to?” he asks.

“Playing Monopoly,” Millie says, moving her little Scottie dog piece around the board. “It’s kind of our thing.”

“And can I get in on this thing?” He comes over to get a closer look.

“You hate board games.”

“True. But it looks kind of fun.”

“You’ll cheat and ruin the game,” she snickers. “Besides, you’re all gross and sweaty. Go take a shower.”

“Is this how’s it going to be now? You bossing me around?”

“Yup.” She pops the P, grinning at me as if we’re sharing a secret joke.

Truth is, Millie is handling everything well.
