“Come on baby, aren’t you happy to see me?”
Johnny sneers as he steps in front of me.
“Move Johnny, I’m watching a kid right now.”
He stays put so I walk around him, but am stopped by his hand gripping my arm.
“Don’t ignore me baby. I just want to talk. I’m happy to see you is all. It’s been a long time since you ran out on me…” Johnny’s usually light blue eyes are pitch black as he glares at me.
Looking around, I see we are drawing a crowd, which I am thankful for.
“Johnny, people are looking.”
He doesn’t even glance around as his grip tightens.
“Let go,” I say, shoving him with my other hand but he doesn’t budge.
Swallowing, I realize just how much bigger than me he is. He could hurt me badly if he wanted to and it seems like he does. Johnny can be really scary and he doesn’t care that anyone is watching. That’s how big his ego is. He could hurt me right now and the people of Piedmont would just watch with fear.
Old me would have crumbled but the new me knows that I can get away. The new me knows I have a child to care for right now. If anything happens to me, who is going to watch Tobi?
“I just want you back baby. We are meant to be,” Johnny says, pulling me into his chest.
His hold is tight and hot as he holds my face to his pecks. I can barely breathe.
Wriggling, I try to break free as my vision starts to blur.
“She told you to let her go!” A voice I recognize shouts from behind Johnny.
Johnny stiffens before releasing his tight hold on me, but he still holds me with one hand.
“Mind your own business buddy,” Johnny shouts back before starting to drag me away.
Looking over my shoulder I see Parker approaching and my entire being breaks. I should hate Parker for what he said to me but seeing him now just makes me feel safe yet terrified. What will Johnny do to Parker?
“I said to let her go pal,” Parker says as he grabs onto my free hand and pulls me from Johnny’s embrace.
Johnny whips around and stops short once he sees Parker.
“Well well well… If it isn’t the mighty Parker Madison. New York big shot and my girl’s fake fiancée. See I know things.”
Parker doesn’t even budge. He just puts me behind him and stands in between Johnny and I.
“You won’t ever lay another hand on her again. You understand?”
There’s a flash of light.
Looking to the left of the playground I see a group of paparazzi photographing what’s happening. Johnny follows my eyes before furrowing a brow. He must realize that whatever he does next will be caught on camera.
“This won’t be the last time you see me, I guarantee that,” Johnny whispers to us before storming off.
A tear falls from my right eye as I watch him get on his motorcycle and drive off. Feeling woozy, I collapse into Parker’s arms.
“I’ve got you Cam. I’m never leaving you again,” Parker urges me before I black out.

Blinking my eyes open,I see that I am now sitting on a park bench.
