“I will always love you.”

Her nails dig in deeper, no doubt leaving trails of blood behind, and I marvel in the feeling, over how perfect she is. I will wear her marks like a badge of honor.

My hands roam her body, her scarred skin feeling like the most intricate puzzle beneath my fingers. I trace as many of them as I can, using them as a reminder that my girl is stronger than anyone out there.

Evie’s walls tighten around me, and this time, I push her over the edge. My fingers move to her clit, rubbing circles until she gasps into my mouth.

“Yes, fuck. Don’t stop.”

I keep my pace steady, holding on until she falls. When her juices gush between us, I thrust up into her.

“Come for me, my queen. Right. Now.”

I thrust deeper and harder, using gravity to help her spear herself on my cock until she cries out. The moment I feel her release, I follow, having no choice. Her whimpers keep me rocking into her until we have ridden out our climax together.

Her body stays fused to mine, our sweat cooling on our skin and making us stick together. But right now, I no longer find the concern to care. We can shower when we get home. Right now, all I want is my girl.

When she finally picks her head up, I search her eyes for any sign that this triggered her. But she just smiles down at me and lets our foreheads rest together.

I close my eyes, holding onto this moment for as long as I possibly can. It feels like a lifetime later when I hear a car door closing outside, and I know our time is up.

Evie climbs off my lap and I toss her my boxers to clean up with. I can go commando for the ride home if that means she is not a sticky mess the entire time. Even if I do want my cum to stay buried deep inside her, now might not be the best time.

Once we are dressed, she rolls the boxers up and sticks them in her pocket and I laugh.

“Oh, what? You guys can shred and steal my panties when I actually wear them, but me keeping your boxers is weird?”

I throw my arm around her shoulder as we leave the building. I’m surprised to see Lou there. He says he volunteered to stay open for the cast as they film today.

I introduce him to Evie, and the bright smile they exchange has my heart warming in a way I did not fathom was possible. Lou insists on making us a couple of chocolate lattes to go, and Evie thanks him as we leave.

Lou walks around the counter to shake my hand, but before our hands break apart, he leans in close.

“Your mother would have loved her.”

My chest burns as a lump forms in my throat.

“I think so too.” My voice breaks, but I no longer give a shit.

I take Evie’s hand in mine and walk her to the car. As I open her door and watch her get in, something deep inside of me settles. A restlessness I couldn’t explain.

It feels like everything is finally clicking into place.

Chapter 21

Boris and I have just finished up a meeting with some of the shop owners in town. There’s been a group of teenagers going around vandalizing property at night that the cops don’t care to reprimand. Boris ensured each of them a guard for the evening as well as help in deciding the consequences when the perpetrators are caught.

We’ve already set up new trade deals on cocaine exports this morning, and that chat actually went well. Boris was expecting them to not agree to his new terms and price negotiations, but the documents were easily signed. I think he underestimates justhow vicious he looks when people try to inconvenience him with mediations.

He’s an admirable business man, even if some of his businesses are shady as hell. We’re prepping for a video conference with a business in Sweden now. They want to make a new deal on their energy shipments.

It is absolutely mental the way Boris can flip his mind from a criminal organization meeting to a legitimate, professional businessman in under an hour. I’m still wrapping my head around how he keeps it all separate and compartmentalizes each part in his brain as I try to make sense of the color-coded sticky notes all over my desk.

Boris’ phone pings for the hundredth time today, and I try not to cringe. The noise is slowly becoming a trigger for me. I think of a new note I need to make and grab my pen to write it down when firm hands land on my shoulders.

“I think it is time for you to take a break, Little Fox. I’ve got this next meeting, then I can come and make lunch with you.”

I shake my head. I’ve already taken my pain medication, and that’s not why I’m all worked up anyway. The way his secretary keeps coming in here and looking at him is making me feel murderous. If I don’t keep my hands busy, I might just lay her out the next time she touches him.
