“I am.”

Myrtle smiled. “Me, too. Will is all done, so what happens, happens.”

Ruby looked upset. “You are not going to die.”

“Listen, lady. Everybody dies. Your pregnancy may be giving you dynastic leanings, but it’s still inevitable that everybody dies.”

Marshall looked shocked, and Ark’s jaw dropped open. Ruby blinked. “No. I am not...”

“When was your last heat? Oh, did you get caught in the energy release at solstice?”

Ruby’s eyes went wide, and Marshall reached over to grab his mate and focused with his eyes closed. His grin was beyond delighted as he looked down at Ruby. “There is an extra heartbeat.”

Ruby swayed and looked at Myrtle. “How did you know?”

“Uh, that is how you have been able to give me extra energy. I have basically been eating your morning sickness.”

Ruby blinked. “You knew this whole time?”

“Since the café. You didn’t know?”

The other omega shook her head. “No clue. I was waiting for my next heat and trying to guess when it was going to strike.”

“I am guessing about twelve to fifteen months from now.” Myrtle shrugged. “Are we still going? I mean, we don’t have to, but tomorrow, I might just be an empty sweatsuit.”

Ruby blinked rapidly with her hand on her lower abdomen. “Right. We will take care of you first.”

They headed out with Marshall grinning brightly. Ruby still looked dazed, but Myrtle insisted that Ruby remain in the back with her. Marshall kept reaching back for her abdomen.

He drove cautiously to their destination, and Ruby was laughing as the vehicle crept slowly into the long drive in front of a very historic building.

They got out of the vehicle and walked toward the huge double doors. They paused as a sporty car screeched in behind Marshall’s.

Ruby snorted. “You called him.”

“Of course, I did. I have to gloat that you are carrying my little one.”

Myrtle asked, “How do you know it isn’t Rayden’s?”

Marshall chuckled. “Biological impossibility.”

Myrtle blushed. “Oh. Lucky you only have two mates.”

Ruby paused, and then she started laughing.

Marshall frowned. “What’s so funny?”

“The book. There was a scene in the book.” Ruby was laughing. Rayden ran up to her and hugged her as she hooted with amusement. “And the tail!”

Rayden sighed. “She’s been on about asking us if we can grow one, and while there are some wings, there are no tails.”

Myrtle was grinning. “Oh, good. You liked the book.”

The doors opened, and Keres was standing there. “Come on. It’s cold outside.”

Myrtle smiled and walked toward the other woman, her hands tucked carefully away. “Thanks. They are having some happy announcement celebrations that are getting muddled with erotica.”

Keres smiled. “Come in when you are ready. Myrtle, there are some people here you might find useful.”
