"You're pregnant," Dad's eyes fill with excitement.

"No," I wave him off. No, but I really should start tracking my cycle. "Brady's business partner caught us in a...a compromising position and she filed a hostile work environment complaint."

"Oh," Mom looks to Dad.

"Whatever happens," Brady speaks up, "we'll figure it out."

"We should celebrate," Mom claps her hands together, ignoring the HR complaint. "How about dinner at the steakhouse? Our treat!"

"That sounds great," I say to my parents, "but I need to talk to Brianna now."

"We'll go get ready," Mom walks over and hugs me, then Brady.

When my parents are gone, I focus my attention on my daughter.

"Brianna, can you come here?"

She hops up off the floor and races over. "Yeah?"

"Did you hear our conversation?" I ask.

"No," she raises her eyebrows at me. "I was too busy playing."

I tuck her hands in mine. "Mommy and Brady are married."

"You are?" she dramatically gasps. "But when did you have the wedding?"

"We haven't yet," I tell her.

"Can I pick out a pink dress?" she smiles. "And wear flowers in my hair?"

Brady chuckles. "Yes."

"Where are we going to live?" Brianna gives me a quizzical look.

I glance over at Brady. "I'm not sure yet."

"We'll stay here for now," Brady assures her. "Then, we'll figure it out."

"Are you going to give my mommy a ring?" Brianna says to Brady.

I hold up my left hand so she can see the diamond. "He already did."

"Woah!" Brianna beams. "It's beautiful."

"Thank you," I say to her as she skips back over to her dolls.

"That went..." Brady exhales.

"Better than expected?" I offer.

"Way better," he laughs as he kisses me.

"What'd I miss?" echoes through the living room.

Standing in the doorway is Steve waving awkwardly.

Oh, great.
