I run my hands through Brady's hair as he sucks the delicate skin on my neck. After Steve's mini-freakout earlier today, I needthis. Uninterrupted naked time with my husband.

Brady's teeth sink into my ear lobe and I let out a low mewl.

"God, you feel amazing, Iz," he mumbles against my skin.

I melt into the mattress as Brady kisses me. Long, hot, sultry swipes of his tongue along mine. I try getting lost in the moment, but my chest tightens and my heart starts beating faster.

"What's wrong?" Brady stops moving inside me.

"I...I don't know," I begin panicking.

Brady wraps his arms around me and holds on tight. "Today was a rough day."

I nod as I hold him tighter. "Yeah."

"Iz," he whispers my name. "Tell me what's going on."

I swallow harshly. "Did you and Angie..."

Brady pulls out of me and lays beside me. "No, never."

"I don't know how to deal with this," I honestly tell him. "I don't want another Maya situation—"

"It's not like that," Brady interrupts. "In college, Angie told me she had a crush on me, but I was with Maya and I made it clear I didn't feel the same way."

"You never thought she might be a good fit for you?" I don't even know why I'm going there. Angie's married to Andre. Brady's married to me.

"Outside of business, no," Brady answers. "I have always loved you. And before you, there wasn't a single spark with anyone else. Not even with Maya."

"She's going to see to it that we can't work together," I gnaw on the inside of my cheek.

"Then we will buy her out," Brady proposes.

"Brady," I groan. "I don't want you to do that. I just want...I want to keep my job and I don't want you or Angie to lose yours."

"Is being my assistant really the job you want?"

I shrug beside him as I twist to face him. "It's the best job I've ever had."

In the low glare of the TV screen, he smiles. "Really?"

"Really," I reply.

"If you could have any job," Brady turns onto his side and slides a strand of blond hair behind my ear, "what could would it be?"

"I don't know," I lick my lips, my chest loosening. "Since Steve got hurt, I haven't let myself...dream."

"You can dream again," Brady says softly.

"What's your dream job?" I flip the question on him.

He exhales, content. "Being your husband."

"Stop joking around," I cup his cheek in my hand.

"I'm not," he grins. "I've done all the things I've wanted to do in my life. Being with you, that's the dream I'm chasing now."
