“This place…” I said, looking around, still perfectly snug in his arms.
“And so we meet again. Care for some iced coffee on your shirt? I can help you clean it off this time.”
“You brought me back to where you bumped into me.”
“You bumped into me.”
I laughed, my head falling slightly back.
“I don’t think that was it. But…” Liam kneeled in front of me, opening the coffee cup and taking out a velvety black box. Inside it was the most exquisite ring I had ever seen. “I’d like to continue this argument for the rest of our lives, Miss Harden. Will you give me the honor of marrying me?”
“Yes!” I squealed, holding out my hand for him to place the ring on my finger. “I’d said yes already.”
“I wanted to do this properly,” Liam replied, standing to his full height and taking me into his arms again before placing his lips on mine in the most loving of kisses. “And now we can go home and address that eye roll. I told you before, brats don’t do well in this part of town.”
