“Geez, thanks,” I drawl with a sarcastic eye roll.

He ignores my sass. “But I will spank your ass until you can’t sit on anyone’s lap for an entire week.”

Landon attempts to disguise his laughter as a cough, and Beckett simply sighs as he claims his seat on the other half of the couch—this time, much closer. So close, his body heat permeates the air and the smell of ink barrages my senses.

And Zane?

I feel something hard twitching against my ass.

Someone seemed to really like Dominic’s threat.

Freaking hell.

I swallow, the move dragging hot coals down my throat, and Dominic’s eyes flare even brighter. He knows the direction my thoughts just went.

The two of us together…

In his cabin…

Naked…

The sudden ache between my thighs is almost unbearable.

Landon clears his throat, the noise somewhat reluctant, and draws Dom’s attention away from me.

“Dominic? Your not-murder board? What did you find?” Landon gestures for Dom to continue, an amused smirk pulling up his lips.

Dom sighs and moves to stand beside his board. The lust in his eyes is momentarily muted, pushed to the back, a dull green instead of an iridescent emerald.

We have these meetings every day immediately after school. It’s our way of maintaining trust between the six of us. We’ll discuss everything that happened over the last few hours and anything we discovered in our research. I absolutely adore these meetings, and not just because it’s a way to be a part of the so-called “team” my guys created.

No, the reason I adore these meetings is because…

Directly on cue, Landon’s burner phone begins to ring. He accepts the call, puts it on speaker, and then slides it to the center of the table.

“Ryker?” I breathe as raindrops patter in my gut.

There’s a beat of silence, and then his raspy voice echoes through the room. “I’m here, baby girl.”

“Dominic’s up,” Landon explains, and all eyes turn to the Greek god standing before his…um…non-murderous non-board.

“I decided I was going to do more research into Reece’s most recent bill—the one that drastically decreases the number of international imports.” He rubs a hand through his silky blond hair.

Reece Whipers is a United States senator The Divine One ordered me to kidnap and bring to him. I initially refused, but Zane took the decision out of my hands when he kidnapped the young senator and brought him to Dominic’s cabin in the woods. We discovered that Reece used to be a member of POP before he broke away from it, disgusted by all of the senseless murders. He then sought to take the organization down, no matter the cost. He compiled a plethora of information on both POP and The Divine One and gave it to a contact in the FBI.

But someone betrayed him.

Someone told The Divine One exactly what he was doing.

We don’t know if it was his source in the FBI, another agent, a cop, or someone else entirely. The reach of the Paragons of Prosperity is immense. There are governors, senators, police chiefs, army generals, and more inside of the cult.

Now, Reece is trapped with The Divine One, enduring who the heck knows what, while the six of us attempt to finish what he started once and for all.

I tentatively lift my hand in the air. “I thought we determined that POP went after Reece because he betrayed them, not because of the shipping bill.”

Unease coils in my gut like an angry, hissing snake. I despise the fact that Dominic seems fixated on that one bill—despise it…because Fischer owns the largest international shipping company in the United States.

If that bill were to be made into a law, then his company would be hurt. Badly.
