"Is your mom cooking?" Kellen asks.

"Uh, I don't know."

We head out to the house Callum bought his family and my phone buzzes in my pocket.

callum: this might be a bad way to do this but i wanted to ask you something before we got there and we didnt have time

echo: yes?

callum: is it okay if i reintroduce you as my boyfriend? i know we havent talked about it.

"Is that what we are?" I ask, looking up from the screen.

He turns around in his seat to look at me, "That's up to you."

"What are they talking about?" Oliver whispers.

"Shh, something's happening." Kellen whispers back.

I nod. "That's okay," I say softly.

He smiles, "Okay."

We have a staring contest until my brother speaks.

"Okay I can't take it— What just happened?"

"We're boyfriends." I tell him.

"I don't have to give either of you warnings, do I?" he asks teasingly, smile spreading across his face.

"I think we've learned our lessons." I say.

"It's so hard to tell your boyfriend embarrassing stories when he's known you for years and I'm younger than you."

"Maybe that's a sign you shouldn't do such cruel things." Callum tells his little sister.

I laugh as we enjoy our meal. Callum's mom cooked roast chicken and mashed potatoes, and I swear there's crack in the gravy.

I'm on my second plate.

"I'm just happy that Callum has clearly found love again with Echo." Mary, Callum's mom, says.

Callum and I freeze.

"Again?" Callum asks warily.

"You were together in high school weren't you? Am I mistaken?" She pauses and turns with wide eyes, "Was it the other twin?" She whispers, eyes darting between Scout and I.

We all can't help but laugh.

"No, you have the right twin. But how did you know?"

"Yeah, the rest of us didn't find out the full story until recently." Kellen says.

"Oh, phew." Mary says, returning to her work.

We all look at each other. Various expressions of shock and humor.
