"So how did you know?" Callum asks.
"It was kinda obvious son, the way you look at him hasn't changed." James replies for his wife.
"So you've known the whole time." Callum says quietly.
Mary faces her son, love written across her expression, "Why do you think we changed?"

I'm awoken to the sound of my phone ringing. At first it doesn't register. Until I remember it's on DND with the exception of emergencies. Only the band and the government can get through my notifications right now. That realization has me shooting up, suddenly completely awake.
I scramble to answer the next call when it begins to ring again.
"Hello?" I ask tiredly.
"Don't freak out." I hear Scout say through the speaker.
"You're calling in the middle of the night and telling me not to freak out. I'm gonna freak out."
"Try not to scare Echo. Is he up?"
"What's going on?" Echo mumbles.
"I don't know." I tell him, putting his brother on speaker, "What's going on?"
"I got into a little accident."
"What?!" Echo and I shout.
"Shh! I'm fine. I just sprained my ankle."
"You're hurt? Where are you?" I ask.
"The hospital." he mumbles.
"Which one?"
We all arrive at Saint Ambrose hospital as fast as we can. Scout lies in a hospital bed and my heart pangs. That could very easily be Echo in that bed. This could have been worse.
Apparently, Scout rented a car and got into a collision on the way to wherever he was going. He won't tell us.
Who knew seeing someone who looks exactly like my boyfriend lying in a hospital bed would scare the shit out of me? Put things into perspective. I kiss Echo's head and leave him to try and talk to Scout, sitting at his bedside. I step into the hall and pull out my phone.
callum: does this sound okay
My phone rings. "Callum, it's the middle of the night. What the fuck?" Fallon says when I answer.
"This is important, but you could have waited until the morning." I say.
I hear her nails tap against her phone as she checks over my message.
"Yeah, it's fine. Are you sure?"
"I'm positive."
After getting approval, I hit post and watch as the notifications flood in.
"What did you do?" Echo says. I look up and see him standing in front of me, tears shining in his green eyes.
