Seeing Nicole getting along with the guys is a great sight they are all getting along with her perfectly. I sat next to them I love seeing a smile on her face. Putting a smile on her face is my number one goal in life. Nicole gets up then sits on my lap I wrap my arms around her. Daniel walks in and he looks beyond pissed. Nicole looks at me then back at Daniel.
“Ummm Daniel is everything okay?” Nicole asks softly. He walks over then starts pacing in front of us.
“Would this have something to do with Kate?” I ask. HIs face went red that’s the only answer I needed.
“Have you seen her today Nicole?” Daniel asks.
“No why?”
“She has bruises on her and she won’t tell me what happen. Even though I know he put his hands on her she just won’t fucking tell me. Can you please check up on her for me.”
“Of course I will.” Nicole gets up and leaves the clubhouse. He’s a dead man walking putting his hands on her.
“Hey do you think you can stay focused today to deal with that shipment?” I ask.
“Yeah I am. Nicole is going to be with Kate she will be safe.” I nodded my head in an agreement. Hopefully Nicole can convince Kate to leave that bastard their relationship is not a good one and if he’s putting his hands on her now, he’s done for. Toby is getting everything ready for this shipment, we are going to burn it all. Daniel and I got in the car and I glance over at him worried.
“Kate is a strong and smart girl she will leave him soon, she’s been unhappy with the guy for months now. Things will get better little brother.”
“How did we change places I’m the one who tells you everything is going to be okay?” I smile he has a point there he was the one always telling me everything will be okay.
“I finally have my girl and soon you will have yours.” Ever since our parents died when we was sixteen in a car accident, I have always been there for him keeping him out of trouble as much as possible. I have to say he turned out great. When we got to the old dock we heard voices. We surrounded the small group of men taking boxes off the boat.
“That’s the last one.” One of the men said. We pointed our guns at them.
“What the hell?” Toby shot one.
“One stays alive.” I tell them as the AJ and JJ shot two guys each leaving one man left. Daniel poured lighter fluid on the boxes.
“What are you doing?” he yells I light a match and toss it on the boxes.
“Tell your boss that River Falls is off fucking limits if I catch anyone from Ocean Bay in my town you will all die. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes.”
“Good, you may leave now.” He gets back on the boat and leaves seeing the drugs burn is a good feeling. This is a good start to deal with Ocean Bay.
It was two in the morning when we got home. I climbed into bed wrapping my arms around Nicole and she turns around.
“Did Daniel come home with you?” she asks softly.
“Yeah why?” I ask curiously.
“He has a nice surprise in his bed.” I raised an eyebrow.
“Kate?”
“Yeah I decided to bring her home with me. We tried to stay up for you but we were so tired.” I leaned in and kissed her.
“She still loves him doesn’t she?” I ask with hope.
“She does, she’s just a little stubborn right now it won’t last long Kate is at her last straw she just needs a little push.” I smiled.
“Will you tell me about that year you were gone I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it?”
