“Something might go wrong,” Dean acknowledged. “Life can be unpredictable sometimes. But that doesn’t mean that it won’t work out in the end. Summer came back to Holiday Hollow, even when things hadn’t worked out, and look at us now. The important thing to remember is that we'll still be there for each other no matter what, and that includes Theo and Summer. I want them with us just as much as you do, and I know it’s only a matter of time. We have an amazing and strong, independent woman for our omega. Everything in due time, Bash. We have the rest of our lives together, it’s better to give her the space to figure out what she exactly wants so that we have an unshakable foundation for years to come.”

I chuckled against his chest, placing a kiss there. “When did you get so smart?”

“I bonded you, didn’t I?” he said, taking a step back and giving me an up and down. “Summer is absolutely going to melt when she sees you in those coveralls, don’t think I didn’t notice that you didn’t zip them all the way up.”

Giving him a wink, the two of us finished getting ready for the day before we headed to the shop with the pack.

I had wanted to pick up Summer in my favorite ride for our date, but since Theo was spending the day with Miller and Miles, she insisted that she would drive the loaner over to the shop with their stuff so that they could spend the night.

Of course, we’d already be done filling their rooms with everything they could have needed, but if that is what made her comfortable then I wasn’t going to argue.

Dean was right, all in due time.

I just hoped that time was now. I mean who’s to say that she couldn’t spend the night tonight and then just never leave. What if she conveniently could never find the car keys or she fell down into my nest and couldn’t get back up?

Stranger things had happened.

As soon as she was out of her car, I was there, swinging her up in my arms and spinning her around before I gave her a big kiss, and did the same for my favorite little man.

“Bash,” Theo said with giggles. “Surprise today?”

“Yep, the surprise is today. I couldn’t have done it without your help buddy, and I can’t wait to show you when we’re done. But in the meantime, I hope you have so much fun with Miller and Miles.”

“M&Ms!” Theo said, happily wiggling down from my arms. He ran over to Miles and grabbed his hand before looking at Miller expectantly.

“Oh yeah, they are going to be just fine today,” Summer said with an eye roll. “It’s like he won’t even miss me.”

“We’re just shiny and new and he gets to be one of the guys now. Plus, I’ll let you in on a secret. Theo helped me with part of this date, so I know he’s excited for you to go on it too.”

“I have to admit I’m intrigued,” she said. “Is what I’m wearing okay?”

She was in athletic shorts and a tank top, her hair pulled into two braids. She looked cute and sexy all at once, and I couldn’t wait to see her in the matching coveralls I’d got her.

“Perfect.” I told her, holding out my arm. “Ready to get this date started? I figured we could start it off with a little walk.”

She agreed, blowing kisses to the guys and Theo, before looping her arm through mine.

I walked her down all four bays before we came to my garage and booth at the end of the shop.

Summer laughed. “Wow, I never thought we would get here.”

“Don’t worry, Sunshine. I’ll make sure you break a sweat in other ways.”

“Is this your shop?”

“The one and only,” I said, proudly. “Let's go in and get you suited up for our date.”

I held open the door for her, watching her expression as she took in my space. Paint littered the walls of my booth, and her car was raised up in the center.

The guys had finished up with all of the bodywork, and I sanded, primed and sanded again to get it ready for our date today. I wanted to show her what I did and just how fun it could be.

“Is that?”

“Yep, that’s your car,” I said, watching the disbelief across her face. “And today we’re gonna paint her. But first, you need to put on your uniform, missy.”

I reached behind the door and grabbed the coveralls I had bought in her size. I bent low, holding out the legs for her so she could step in. She rested her hand on my shoulder to balance, and I couldn’t help but run my hands all over my omega as I pulled the coveralls up.

“I feel so official,” she said with a bright smile.
