“You are, Sunshine,” I said, nipping at her lip as I slowly zipped her up. “You're all ours.”
“And you're mine.”
As an omega, people always talked about the possessive feeling they experienced over their pack, and sure I had felt that before.
But never with Summer.
If anything, I was possessive over her and wanted to scent mark her all day long, so everyone knew she was mine.
“Hell yeah I am,” I agreed, proud as fuck, giving her one more kiss. “Now let’s choose the color for your car. This is where little man helped me out. He said your favorite color was blue, so I pulled a few things I thought you might like and we can mix up whatever you choose and have some fun.”
I led her over to a separate room off the booth where I kept most of my things. Dust was the enemy of paint, so although I may like to nest and hoard at home, my workspace was completely clean.
“This is awesome,” Summer said, looking over the different swatches. “Part of me wants to argue with you, but I’m too damn excited. This is probably the coolest thing ever. It’s how I feel when I start designing websites, I didn’t realize our work was similar in that way.”
“We both have a good eye,” I flirted, giving her a wink. “Now what are you thinking?”
“I’m torn between these two shades.”
“What do you like about both of them?”
“I like the darker blue of this one, but I like how the medium one has that shimmer to it,” she said. “But in a perfect world I’d like it to have more contrast.”
Looks like my Sunshine was getting a custom blend.
“We can definitely make that happen.”
I explained the process to her, grabbing the gallons I needed and making the dark blue base. Honestly, lugging this paint and parts around was the reason I stayed so fit. Well that and Dean.
Matching the dark blue, I added the extra fine shimmer before grabbing one that was yellow and bright and shiny like the sun. It would be subtle, but it would give her the contrast she wanted. A different day I’d go through and add a subtle hand painted pinstripe, or fun detail after this all set and dried.
Summer helped me blend it all up before I loaded it into the sprayer, and positioned myself behind her. I knew a lot of people in my job used custom paint wraps, and I did too, but it couldn’t beat being in a booth behind my omega and holding her while we painted nice and easy sprays over the car.
It was almost like a dance, our hips and bodies moving together. If we both didn’t have masks on because of the fumes, I’d ravage her mouth right now.
In between coats I brought her out back to where I’d set up a little spread on the picnic bench.
“Thank you for this,” Summer said, popping a grape into her mouth.
“So I did alright?” I asked, narrowing my eyes.
“I guess I’ll keep you,” she said with a sigh.
I danced my fingers over her side, loving the high pitch squeals she made, as I tickled her for her sass.
Fuck, I was madly in love with her.
“I know it’s fast, but life is short, Sunshine. You don’t have to say anything back, but just know you have me wrapped around your little pinky. I love you.”
She laughed, a beautiful carefree thing as she cupped my face in her hands and took my lips in a kiss that had me panting. When we broke away she rested her forehead against mine.
“How could I not love you, Bash? You bring so much light and love into my life, and you understand me on a base level. I was doomed the first moment I smelled your sweet lemon scent clinging to your alpha and when you helped me out in the garage. I don’t need time to overthink this because I know in my heart it’s true. I love you too.”
Joy filled me, and not for the first time, I wished the bite I had given her during her heat could let her feel exactly what was coursing through me.
We made out like horny teenagers until our lips were swollen and the sun started to dip in the sky signaling the start of the afternoon.
Our scents were all over each other making the sweetest strawberry lemonade scent. I was thirsty for more, but knew that we had plans for the evening.
