“But that doesn’t mean—”

“Yes, it does. Tell me you don’t love me, Bella. Tell me because I won’t believe it. You love me. I can see it in your eyes. I’ve seen it for months,” he demanded.

“You’re very confident.”

Blake tilted her face. “Tell me, sweetheart. Tell me you love me and be a good girl.”

“Yes, I love you.”

Blake slammed his mouth down on hers and kissed her the way a woman who was loved and adored should be kissed.

Thoroughly.

“Is this real?” she asked when they were able to catch their breath.

“Very.”

“You ripped the contract up.” She shook her head.

“I don’t want or need your shares, baby. I have your heart,” Blake vowed. “Now, you have way too many clothes on.”

He tugged at her jacket, but she stopped him. “Wait, Blake. I still have to meet with the legal team in an hour.”

“Actually, I have a different plan.” Blake smiled. “After I make love to my real fiancé, I’ll tell you everything.”

––––––––

AFEW HOURS LATER,Bella was up to speed with Blake’s meeting last night with his cousins and big shot lawyers, Roberts, Halt, and Thornton.

She liked what she heard and, for the first time in twenty-four hours, had hope.

She had also called Ward and told him what happened during the meeting with Randall.

“The man is a menace, Bella. If someone can bring that man to their knees, then it should be done. I agree with Blake and Daniel; Roberts, Halt and Thornton are the best. If anyone can do this, it's themandyou.”

“Me?” Bella asked, her voice pitching high.

“You are the only one. I’m proud of you. Your mother didn’t have the ability because of what she went through, and I had to accept it, but you have Blake, and you have me and your brothers.”

And the Dufort family.

But she didn’t say that.

Blake ran his hand over her hair as she spoke to her father on speaker phone. She glanced up as he took a sip of his coffee.

How was he able to make that even look sexy?

His chest was bare, but still.

And he’s all mine. Forever.

“Gotta go, Dad,” she said to Ward. “See you at the wedding.”

“Get my girl home safe,” Ward said gruffly.

Blake coughed out the sip of coffee he was taking and laughed.

They didn’t know he knew Blake was listening.
