“Just button up your jacket. Nobody will know,” he deadpanned as I burst into laughter.

“We gotta go.”

Yeah. Time to face the world again. Become Mr Telford, whoever he was today.

I smiled and grabbed Matt’s hand, and we walked back to our seats with confident smiles on our faces. Caroline stared at us in disgust.

“You reek of sex,” she whispered.

Matt blushed. “Nonsense, Caroline,” he huffed, looking scandalised. “As if we would!”

“We would,” I whispered. Then I grinned.

Because this was my life. And I was going to live it.
