Well, shit. Tears burned my eyes, and I blinked them back.
I folded her letter and walked to the dresser.
I set the envelope and her letter aside. After rummaging in the drawers, I found clothes to change into.
My fingers brushed something cool and metal as I pulled it from underneath my underwear—a gun.
I stood there for fifteen minutes, debating whether or not to tell Devil, Raiden, and Reaper what I wanted to do. I wasn’t stupid. I knew I couldn’t take on this cult alone. But I wantedrevenge on my terms, and I needed to be the one who snuffed out Jim’s life.

Checking to be sure the safety was on, I tucked the gun into my purse, gathered my things, and prepared to leave. Right before I left, I managed to sneak into Devil’s office. The guys were all having church, which made it easy to slip away undetected.
I penned a quick note, placed it on top of the envelope, and snuck out the compound. Just once, I turned back, blowing a kiss to the men who had already claimed my heart.
When I returned, I could finally look ahead to my future instead of running from my past.
