Riley blinked before saluting me with his glass. “Neat trick.”

I threw my arms up in frustration. “I give up. Someone else have a go.”

“What are we having a go at?”

I spun around, pointing at Danny. “Ah, perfect! Just who we need.”

Danny put a hand to his chest. “Sebastian, I’m flattered. Personally, I think this is how you should greet me whenever I enter a room.”

Toby snorted, muttering to Blaise, “This is going to be good.”

Blaise smirked in response, leaning closer to him. It hadn’t escaped anyone’s notice that they hadn’t been further than a foot away from each other the whole time they’d been here.

Made sense, given everything that’d happened between them.

“We’re trying to fill Riley in on the supe world,” Matty explained. “Sebastian’s told him he’s a vampire, but he doesn’t believe him.”

Understanding flashed in Danny’s eyes. “Ooh, you need my party trick? Well, I don’t need to be asked twice.”

He ripped his shirt over his head, ignoring the many supes who yelled in protest. Like several others, I threw a hand over my mate’s eyes and glared at him. “Naked? Really?”

Riley put down his glass, clapping his hands together. “Oh, now this is getting interesting.”

“I don’t have any other clothes,” Danny explained, kicking off his shoes and jeans. “I’ll keep the underwear on though. I don’t want to embarrass any of you in front of your mates.”

Puzzlement flickered over Riley’s face. “In front of their what?”

Danny gave Riley an exaggerated wink. “Prepare to be amazed, princess.”

There was a flash, and Danny was replaced by a giant wolf. Two pieces of cloth floated through the air, hitting the floor silently.

“Pointless him leaving on his boxers,” Leo remarked quietly to Ferry. “We’re all gonna see his junk when he changes back.”

“I’ve seen enough of his junk to last me a lifetime,” Blaise muttered darkly, making several others chuckle.

That was true. Wasn’t sure who Danny was being demure for, but thanks to the nature of his powers, we’d all been subjected to what he was packing a time or two before.

Worst part of it was that he wasn’t exaggerating. Prick.

Danny cocked his head to the side, his tongue lolling out as he stared at Riley. Thanks to the size of his wolf, they were eye to eye.

Riley’s face had drained of colour. His words came out in a strained whisper. “What. The. Fuck.”

Toby suddenly pushed off the wall. “Grab him! He’s going down.”

My cousin was right. I swooped forwards as Riley keeled over, catching him before his head slammed into the floor.

Toby was beside me as I lowered him the rest of the way down, checking his pulse and breathing rate. “He’s fine. He just fainted.”

Matty fell to his knees beside me, disappointment flooding the bond. “That didn’t go as expected.”

“He’ll be fine,” I reassured Matty, giving him a kiss. “The worst part is over now. He’ll come round and we can enjoy the party. I promise.”

MATTY

Everyone cleared out, giving Riley some space while he came to.

He blinked up at me groggily. “Why am I on the floor?”
