Dillon Madison was the Highland Wolves’ coach, and he was a good one. In his eleventh year as head coach, he already had eight winning seasons under his belt, and six Cup Championships to brag about. The man knew his stuff, and the city of Highland revered him like the soccer god that he was. It was rumored that all of his players also adored him.

“So, what’s his plan?” I asked.

“He’s going to let Titan do his customary post-game interview, making everything seem normal,” Conrad replied. “If he pulls Titan after the game, it’ll make him look guilty.”

“He’s already guilty,” Decan scoffed. “In the eyes of public opinion, no proof is needed anymore.” He leaned back in his chair. “That child might as well be his.”

“Ifthere’s even a child,” Ruben added.

Opal sighed. “Look, even though he’s Titan Miller, we’re still here for the same reason that we’re always here, and that’s to support our clients. Titan will probably come out of this unscathed, but we need to keep the damage down to a minimum, and that includes reaching out to his entire family.”

“Why would we need to do that?” Ruben asked, already taking himself out of the running.

I looked over at him. “Because the entire world knows how tight those five men are,” I explained. “While we might be able to keep Titan from going off half-cocked, there’s no guarantee that Raven King, Atlas Braylon, Orion Knight, or Sebastian Havoc won’t go on the record and make a mess of defending their friend.”

“Let’s also not forget about Nova Havoc,” Decan said, reminding us of the woman. “I can see her losing her shit on a woman that’s going after one of her brothers.”

“Look, just get started on your strategies, and then we’ll go from there,” Conrad suggested. “We can’t do a whole lot until the announcement is made, and Titan is back in Arizona anyway.”

As we gathered up our stuff, not a single note taken, no one said a word as we headed back to our offices. This was big, and depending on who this woman was, it could go away quietly, or it could play out in the media for all the world to see.

It was a miracle that I wasn’t an alcoholic.

Chapter 5

Titan~

Istared at Coach Madison, still unbelieving. However, with the way that my phone was going off, that was proof enough that this shit was really happening.

After our win, I’d gone into the locker room, taken my shower, then had done my post-game interview. Like clockwork, everything had played out as expected, only one of our star rookies, Tyrese Fredrickson, had finally gotten his shot in front of the mics. The kid had scored two goals, but not without almost being red-carded for bumping dicks with Fernando Vasquez, one of the many assholes on the opposing team.

Immediately after my interview, Coach Madison had pulled me aside, informing me that I was going to be accused of fathering some ball hopper’s unborn child, and talk about barking up the wrong fucking tree. There was no way thatanyonecould be pregnant by me. I wore my own condoms, and I always made sure that my lady friends swallowed if they weren’t comfortable with giving up the ass.

“What the fuck, Coach?” I finally asked, my phone vibrating like crazy with notifications. “There’s no fucking way thatanychick is pregnant by me.”

Coach Madison let out a heavy sigh. “Titan, I’m always on your side,” he said, making me doubt his tone immediately. “But it’s no secret that you’re…friendly with the fans.”

My brows shot upward. “I’m also a grown ass man that knows what protection is.”

He shot me a look. “Condoms are not-”

“It’s impossible for her to be pregnant by me, Coach,” I said, stopping the condom statistics lecture. “There’s no way I’m the father of anyone’s baby.”

His brow furrowed. “Did you have a vasectomy during the off-season or something?”

“No,” I drawled out. “I just know that she’s not pregnant by me, if she’s even pregnant.”

“Well, when we get back to Arizona, we already have a meeting with our PR people,” he informed me. “So, I need you to stay off social media and not make any statements until we figure out what to do.”

“There’s nothing to figure out,” I argued. “That baby isn’t mine.”

“It doesn’t matter, Titan,” he shot back. “We live in a world where it’s all about accusations. The truth doesn’t matter anymore. It’s all about the power of public opinion.”

“Fuck those people,” I said, my irritation getting the better of me. “Even if I do indulge, I’m single. I can fuck however many women I want as long as they’re willing.”

“Look, I haven’t seen her announcement yet,” he said calmly, back in coach mode. “How about we decide what to do after we view it.”

“It’s not my fucking baby,” I practically snarled. “How many times do I have to say it?”
