Oh god, maybe this was a bad idea, because now I was throbbing in my slacks. I clutched my phone tight, staring down at the screen. I’d never really sexted before, but maybe I could… send something just to help him along. Just to be a courteous participant in this conversation.

Taking a deep breath, I started to type.

What if I suck your dick while you’re fucking me with your tongue. And then I pull your legs right back so I can rim YOU at the same time. I bet you’re flexible enough. You’d be trapped and bent in half underneath me while I sit on your face and lick your hole.

My face was on fire as I hit send. When I didn’t immediately see three dots appear to show me he was typing back, I started to get anxious. Oh god, maybe that had been super cringey. Maybe I was really bad at sexting.

Trying to ignore my straining erection, I set the phone down and stared blankly at my monitor, then opened the last document I’d been working on before going home on Friday. Just bland corporate jargon for the brochure.

When my phone screen lit up, my gut bottomed out. I snatched it up and opened the new message from Holt.

that made me cum

I sagged in horny relief. Okay, maybe I was half-decent at sexting, then. Before I could respond, another text came through.

Can we do that??? I’ll start doing stretches. I don’t know if I’m flexible enough. I threw my back out trying to suck myself off, remember? But I’ll MAKE myself flexible enough, goddamnit. I’ll get Larkin to find me some yoga classes.

I chuckled to myself, typing back. Are you going to tell him why?

He’ll assume it’s for something sex-related anyway, Holt replied. Ugh, I better get up. Seb’s coming to get me in twenty minutes.

Are you coming here? I asked quickly, even though I was unlikely to see him. We’d never crossed paths before last week, so he probably spent most of his time in the basement.

Yeah, but got a few errands to run on the way, Holt sent back. Jumping in the shower, so I’ll talk to you later. I hope your beautiful balls are throbbing at your desk.

They were, but I gradually calmed down as I started to work. I was in an even better mood now, despite having to type up corporate drivel that was utterly meaningless to me. Still, I did it with gusto for once, and I laughed at all of Lance’s crappy jokes, and I didn’t even want to strangle myself with my tie when Chase wandered over and asked how it was going.

The morning passed quickly, and just as I was considering getting myself a cup of the poison coffee from the break room, I noticed a few heads popping up in other cubicles and turning toward the front desk.

“Oh my word,” I heard Grace say in delight as I spun my chair and half-stood up to peer over. “Those are gorgeous.”

I stared in disbelief at Holt, dressed as a delivery guy—complete with a baseball cap and little shorts and everything—holding an enormous bunch of sunflowers as he grinned at Grace. He was in his human skin, his long hair tied back into a ponytail under his cap, and I was suddenly getting visions of him doing a sexy delivery guy stripper routine.

“Delivery for…” He made a big show of peering down at the little card sticking out between huge, bright sunflower heads, before his gaze slid slyly over to me and he smirked. “Taylor Hough.”

I went pink, my belly going all fluttery as Grace’s eyes snapped over to me and she beamed.

“Taylor!” She waved me over. “You’ve had some flowers delivered.”

I swallowed and slowly stood, smoothing my hand down my tie as I started making my way to the front desk. I could feel everyone watching, and I hoped I was walking like a normal person as I approached Holt, praying I didn’t get a boner in front of the entire rapt office.

“What’s up, man,” he said casually when I reached the front desk, then nodded at the flowers now resting in front of Grace in a slender terracotta vase. “Someone must be really into you, huh?”

Heat flooded my cheeks. Fuck, I wanted to kiss him. Would everyone think it was weird if I kissed the ‘delivery guy?’ Probably. I probably shouldn’t.

“Do I need to… sign for them?” I asked, trying to play along.

“Nah.” He picked up the vase and handed it to me, making sure our fingers brushed as I took it. “You like sunflowers?”

“I… I love sunflowers,” I breathed, clutching the vase, my gaze snagging on the little envelope tucked among the flowers with my name written on the front.

When I looked back at Holt, he flashed me a wicked grin and let his eyes trail briefly down my frame, then nodded at Grace and turned to saunter out of the office. My gaze locked onto his ass in those little navy shorts. As he opened the door, I caught sight of Seb waiting in the hall, leaning against the wall beside the elevator and reading a folded-up newspaper.

“They’re beautiful, Taylor,” Grace gushed, drawing my attention back to her. She was gazing at the flowers admiringly. “I love sunflowers too.”

“Here.” I carefully pulled one free, hoping I wasn’t ruining the arrangement, and awkwardly held it out. I liked Grace. She was sweet and friendly, and I knew she had a girlfriend, so she wouldn’t read into the gesture the wrong way. “For your desk.”

She gasped in delight and took it. “Thank you so much. Let me go find a glass for it.”
