Before she can leave, I grab her by the nape of her neck and pull her back to me.

The wedding reception is a great time. Everyone is laughing and having fun. Laney is smiling and dancing with her phone while she talks to Arrow. She danced with Akio for one song, and I had to physically restrain myself not to make good on my promise earlier.
His only saving grace was the fact that he kept his eyes on hers the whole time, and his hands stayed above her waist. Not that I love the idea of any man touching her, but whatever.
The other thing that saved him was me watching him sneak off into the tunnels with another man. That doesn’t mean awhole lot since I’m into a man and a woman myself, but he isn’t pushing things with my girl so I let it go.For now.
Laney puts her phone in her clutch and starts dancing with E. I watch them smile and I even chuckle to myself whenever Damien joins in and makes their faces turn red with laughter. The joy on my girl’s face feels so good even from here, but it feels like something is still missing.
I pull out my phone and dial without thinking. The husky voice that answers has my cock growing hard in my pants in seconds.

“I came to see you right before we left, and I’ve called you every night since. What do you mean,stranger?”

“I just miss you, that’s all. It feels strange not having you guys here all the time. It’s too quiet. As much as I hate that Laney sleeps on this damn couch, I also didn’t know it would feel so empty without her here.”
My attitude fades, and my arms relax as he speaks. I can’t imagine how quiet that house must feel without our girl’s constant talking.
“We’ll be back soon.”
“Good.” We both go silent for a minute.
“I got her to agree to sleeping in a bed,” I say finally.
“How did you manage that?” His tone gives away that he knows exactly how I managed that.
