I finish my food, and Wes takes our trash to the garbage bin before coming back and sitting beside me.
“Do you want a drink?” I ask.
“No. I’m okay right now.” He smiles.
“I’m going to my bunk. Bathroom key is with the driver.” She says, walking down the bunk with her laptop.
“Better?” I ask Wes when she is gone.
“Much.” He answers and pulls me against him. “How are you?”
“Okay.”
“Lie or honest?”
“I feel full, and I hate it, and I hate that I hate it.” I admit.
“I’m sure I could make you feel full in a way you wouldn’t hate.” He smirks down at me.
“Wes.” I say, but heat floods my body.
“I know. I know. Just friends.” He responds, playing with a strand of my hair.
I look up at him. “I was actually going to ask me to fuck me silly, but you’re right, just friends.”
He studies my face to see if I’m serious or not. I stick my tongue out at him.
He rolls his eyes. “You think you’re so funny.”
“I try.”
We watch the rest of the movie in mostly silence, only our occasional laughter filling up the space. It feels nice to just be around him.
He puts on another movie when it’s finished and moves so his legs are stretched out on an ottoman. I move so my head is in his lap. He tucks some of my hair out of my face and rubs my head.
“That feels nice.” I say softly. He grins down at me.
He puts on a third movie, and I eventually sit back up, leaning my head against his chest. He wraps his arm around my waist as we watch.
“Do you want a drink?” I ask again, stretching and sitting up.
“I could use some water.”
“I was thinking something a little stronger.”
“I’m good. I think I will use the bathroom, though.” He gets up.
He gets the key from the driver and uses the bathroom. I grab a bottle of water for him from the fridge. He comes back a few minutes later and hands the key back to the driver. I hand him his water, and he takes a seat next to me.
“I have some leftover coke.”
“Save it for the next show.”
“Sue could get us more.”
“I’m good, Abbey.”
“You don’t want liquor or drugs?”
