“I gotta see a man about a horse. Be right back.” I tell him before hopping off the stool and making my way to the bathroom.

When I return the stranger is drinking from a bottle of water but my beer has been refilled.

When I give him a questioning look, he shrugs his shoulders. “Bought you a round, but I’m taking your advice.”

Thirty minutes later I’m sipping my beer and chatting with Link when my cell phone rings.

Hanta is calling me, one of the treadmills won’t start.

So I say my goodbyes and head back to the gym but only get a few steps from the door when everything gets fuzzy.

My leg almost gives out from under me so I lean against the building, maybe it fell asleep at the bar?

“Hey man you okay?” Someone calls but it sounds like the voice is coming from a long hallway. Blinking my eyes, I see Link standing beside me.

“Come on, let me get you out of here.” Link says putting his arm around me.

That’s the last thing I see before everything fades to black.

Cass

I’ve been out runningerrands for Arin, she let me borrow her car because she needed me to go into the city.

One of her ink deliveries got sent to the wrong address, it’s for a special piece she is doing later.

Mika manned the phone while I was out. On returning I notice the name Link penciled in.

The guy is already in the back, so I don’t pay too much attention to him at first.

I’m rushing to put the new ink in the cabinet when my gaze travels over the partitions. Arin is bent over a man that is laying on his stomach, she’s doing a piece on his back.

After I get everything put away I walk to the front slower, being nosy of course. I like watching the girls work.

This time on my way past, I notice the guy has a scar on his left shoulder. It stops me in my tracks. I would know that scar anywhere.

Trembling, I make my way to my desk. Mika looks up and notices something is wrong.
