Olin looked at the carpet beneath his feet, wondering how Meegan could be so cool with all of this. She’d laid out exactly what she wanted and he hadn’t delivered, but somehow, she was joking about besties and cookies. Then he remembered another thing from their disastrous night.
“There’s something I wanted to ask you. Last night, everyone kept saying you were gone for so long, like they were worried. And then you said you were depressed.”
“Yeah, shit was rough for a little while, but the girls were there for me and so was my mom. I’m okay now. It was loneliness, mostly, and shit was complicated at The Club, but I’m fine.”
“But you will tell me if you’re not okay, in the future?” he asked.
Meegan leaned forward and kissed him again. “I promise I will. I am very happy right now, trust me.”
“Even though I ruined your night?” He scrubbed his hands over his face. He was so fucking embarrassed.
“You did not ruin my night at all. Look, I woke up exactly where I wanted to be and you’re feeling better. I’m good.”
“Yeah, okay,” Olin grumbled.
“We have plenty of time til the party. Do you wanna get breakfast? We can go for a Pam walk without Pam. I do miss her little puppy face though.”
“I do too.”
“You know what else we have time for?” Before Olin could respond, Meegan pulled back the covers and moved toward him. He leaned back so she could climb over his lap, ass up. He didn’t hesitate to run his fingers over her soft skin.
